Saludos amigos, el día hoy les traigo esta criatura proveniente del folclore japonés cuyo nombre es bakeneko, se cree que cuando un gato cumple muchos años, se podría convertir es esta criatura cuyas otras características es que su cola se bifurca y pueden cambiar de formas y causar algunos otros maleficios a los pobladores.

Greetings friends, today I bring you this creature from Japanese folklore whose name is bakeneko, it is believed that when a cat turns many years old, it could become this creature whose other characteristics is that its tail forks and can change shapes and cause some other evil spells to the villagers.

Ya que una de las cualidades de esta criatura es que suele imitar hábitos humando he decidido dibujarlo usando ropa tradicional japonesa, con una katana en una de sus manos, sobre una pequeña canoa, obviamente parado únicamente sobre sus patas traseras.

Since one of the qualities of this creature is that he usually imitates human habits, I have decided to draw him wearing traditional Japanese clothes, with a katana in one of his hands, on a small canoe, obviously standing only on his hind legs.

Una vez obtuve el dibujo, comencé el proceso de coloreado, pensé en colorearle como un gato de pelaje naranja bastante común con una gran mancha redonda sobre su frente, para sus ropas he usado algunos tonos de azul.

Once I got the drawing, I started the coloring process, I thought of coloring him as a fairly common orange fur cat with a big round spot on his forehead, for his clothes I have used some shades of blue.

Seleccionando la opción preservar opacidad comencé el coloreado de la figura añadiendo nuevos tonos para las luces y las zonas más oscuras y colocando algunas manchas sobre el pelaje del gato y detalles en las telas de su haori, luego procedí a colorear igualmente la barcaza y el remero en la parte posterior, para los cuales he usado en su mayoría tonos sepias.

Selecting the preserve opacity option I started the coloring of the figure adding new tones for the lights and darker areas and placing some spots on the cat's fur and details in the fabrics of his haori, then I proceeded to color the barge and the oarsman in the back, for which I have used mostly sepia tones.

Lo siguiente a coloreare fue el paisaje, mi idea en el boceto fue la realizar algunas montañas empinadas en el fondo con algo de vegetación al pie de las mismas, para ello he usado algunos tonos violetas y azules, que a mi parecer contrastan excelente con el color dominante del resto de la ilustración.

The next thing to color was the landscape, my idea in the sketch was to make some steep mountains in the background with some vegetation at the foot of them, for this I have used some violet and blue tones, which in my opinion contrast excellently with the dominant color of the rest of the illustration.

Por ultimo coloree el agua y el reflejo de las montañas y el resto de la vegetación sobre este y di por culminada esta ilustración, espero que haya sido de su agrado, como siempre si tienen algún comentario o sugerencia acerca de mi trabajo estaré feliz de leerles. Bye!
