I hope you are very well, today I want to show this little craft that came up making paper butterflies, folding paper to create different figures I am very passionate about, it de-stresses me and keeps me focused a couple of days ago I learned how to make paper butterflies and ended up making many hahahah, so I thought what would be the best way to group them and what I came up with was to place them as usually exposed framed butterflies, it was vintage and fun, I will show you the step by step of this activity, I hope you like it.

To begin I will show you how to make the butterflies, it is really very simple for that reason I managed to make many in a short time.
Take a page of paper and fold it several times which generated me paper rectangles of 7x8cm then fold the paper diagonally and cut the excess, for this origami the paper format must be square.

Again I folded diagonally again this time from the opposite corner, then folded in half in both directions equally, then folded to form a triangle like the one shown in the second picture.

Then join both bottom corners together and cut out a curved corner that will later become the wings of the butterfly.

After cutting out the previous shape and folding two of the corners on itself.
Having this figure you start coloring the butterfly in the way you like, for this I have chosen a blue butterfly, I started drawing the thickest fibers of its wings with black marker, and then paint blue inside, paint a little the bottom of the triangle, because this to complete the butterfly will become its head.

Then I took the bottom corner and turned it backwards and made a small fold at the tip to which I put a little glue and join, right in the middle of the wings and just like that I have created a nice butterfly, I really like this origami because the shape really resembles the actual orientation of its wings.

And it was precisely this realism in their shape that led me to think of creating my own collection of exotic butterflies, the smallest of which are made of 4x4cm paper squares and the largest of 10x10cm.

I took a rectangle of 18x24 cardboard and glued it on a cardboard of slightly larger dimensions, for the frame I took a rectangle of paper 2cm wide and 20cm long for the width of the frame and 25cm for the length, then cut at an angle of 45 ° to wedge them together later.

As it is a recycled cardboard had some tape marks, so I decided to use gold dust and bathe them in it and they were golden, for this I used some white glue that I spread over the entire surface and using a paper underneath I then spread the gold dust.

Then I assembled the little square with its respective frame, to which I placed some corners of a metallic cardboard, to cover the joints of the cardboard and began to place my butterflies in three rows of 5 each, for a total of 15 butterflies.

I really liked this craft, I really don't think I'll be able to put together a real one unless I get them dead, but I think they look really nice this collection of butterflies, I tried to recreate real butterflies umaalthough I didn't delve that deep into knowing each variety, but it could be a good exercise, to remember their names, shapes and colors....

So this is just a paper work? I mean, an origami? Hehe, it's so real. I wish you could explain the processes in clearer way. I didn't understand how you get the butterfly shape. Is it just the curved corner that you used?

If it's just origami, if indeed the butterfly shape is achieved when you bend back the part of the triangle that protrudes from the back of the wings, I'm sorry I didn't explain correctly.
