Conqueror Jacex - Splinterlands Art contest 282

Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad!

Hoy estoy muy feliz de presentar una nueva entrada al concurso de Arte de Splinterlands esta vez en su ronda 282, para esta oportunidad decidí dibujar a un personaje llamado Conquistador Jacex, se trata de un gigante de fuego quien junto a su enorme ave fénix reinaron el mundo con violencia, aplastando sin piedad a cualquiera que se opusiera a sus designios, fue muy gratificante realizar este personaje con su compañero fiel y todos los detalles, les mostraré un poco del proceso, espero me acompañen.

Today I am very happy to present a new entry to the Splinterlands Art Contest this time in its 282nd round, for this opportunity I decided to draw a character called Conqueror Jacex, this is a giant of fire who with his huge phoenix reigned the world with violence, crushing without mercy to anyone who opposed his designs, it was very gratifying to make this character with his faithful companion and all the details, I will show you a little of the process, I hope you join me.

Lo primero fue dibujar la pose, quería mostrar una pose de guerrero, así que busque alguna referencias en la la web y comencé a dibujar a partir de estas referencias, dibujando un torso bastante amplio y musculoso, luego busque también algunas referencias para el ave, que decidí colocar en vuelo a su lado.

The first thing was to draw the pose, I wanted to show a warrior pose, so I looked for some references on the web and started to draw from these references, drawing a fairly broad and muscular torso, then I also looked for some references for the bird, which I decided to place in flight next to him.

Luego mejore el boceto inicial y fui añadiendo los detalles que pude observar en la carta original, aunque decidí obviar las alas de fuego a sus espaldas y luego que estuve satisfecha con el dibujo comencé a colocar el color base, para ello tome como referencias los colores mostrados en la carta original de este personaje.

Then I improved the initial sketch and added the details that I could see in the original card, although I decided to omit the wings of fire behind his back and after I was satisfied with the drawing I began to place the base color, for this I took as references the colors shown in the original card of this character.

Luego comencé el proceso de colorear este dibujo para lograr tridimensionalidad en sus formas, comencé colocando los colores con un pincel de trazo duro y coloque todos los tonos sin difuminar, haciendo la separación muy marcada de los tonos oscuros medios y las luces, el paso siguiente fue difuminar estos tonos para lo cual empleé un pincel con efecto de aerógrafo además de difuminar también comencé a añadir ciertos tonos más movidos hacia el rojo, considerando que luego el fondo seria lava o fuego, aun no estaba segura en este momento.

Then I began the process of coloring this drawing to achieve three-dimensionality in its forms, I started placing the colors with a hard brush and placed all the tones without blurring, making a very marked separation of the medium dark tones and lights, the next step was to blur these tones for which I used a brush with airbrush effect besides blurring I also began to add certain tones more moved towards red, considering that then the background would be lava or fire, I was not sure at this time.

A continuación su fue turno del fondo para este personaje, cuando leí el Lore me enteré que los Efreet lucharon contra el, llevándolos a su terreno y alejándonos de su elemento fuego, el campo de batalla fue un gran volcán inactivo que al parecer no tenía fondo, una vez que lograron someter a su ave, lograron arrojarlo dentro, pero no sin antes llevarse a toda una tropa, luego la boca del volcán fue sellada justo con todos los cadáveres, pero logró huir una vez cuando la Legión del Caos abrió grietas en el monte Praetoria, haciendo el volcán erupcionar y dejando libre al temible Jacex.

Así que tome este relato y cree el momento de euforia en el que este temible gigante de fuego se libero de su prisión, el piso bajo sus pies lozas de tierra y lava derretida y al fondo los restos del volcán, destrozado tras la huida del Conquistador.

Next it was the turn of the background for this character, when I read the Lore I learned that the Efreet fought against him, taking them to their terrain and away from their fire element, the battlefield was a large inactive volcano that apparently had no bottom, once they managed to subdue their bird, they managed to throw it inside, but not before taking a whole troop, then the mouth of the volcano was sealed right with all the corpses, but managed to flee once when the Legion of Chaos opened cracks in Mount Praetoria, making the volcano erupt and leaving the fearsome Jacex free.

So take this story and create the moment of euphoria in which this fearsome fire giant broke free from his prison, the floor beneath his feet slabs of earth and molten lava and in the background the remains of the volcano, shattered after the Conqueror's escape.

Y así luce este gran guerrero que se unió a la Legión del Caos y que ha jurado vengarse hasta del último de los Efreet, y aunque este personaje resulte ser un temible villano lo cierto es que le tome mucha estima e imagino que tiene una chispeante y carismática personalidad y espero o al menos en mi universo el Conquistador Jacex se arrepiente y tiene puentes con sus enemigos jajaj!

And so looks this great warrior who joined the Legion of Chaos and has sworn revenge on the last of the Efreet, and although this character turns out to be a fearsome villain the truth is that I take him very dear and I imagine he has a sparkling and charismatic personality and I hope or at least in my universe the Conqueror Jacex repents and has bridges with his enemies hahahah!
