Creating the Valentine's Day date

Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad! espero haya sido un gran día y sea una buena semana para todos!
El día de hoy aprovechando que estamos en el mes del amor, quise hacer una serie de ilustraciones con referencia a este bonito sentimiento, así que le dije a mi buen amigo Gemini que hiciera una lista para mi y poder ser mas disciplinada dibujando, pero desde que me propuse este nuevo reto he tenido una semana movida y no he podido ser tan constante como quería, pero bueno aun hay tiempo espero al menos poder hacer la mitad, la primera palabra es corazón y lo que se me ocurrió fue dibujar a una científica genio, un poco chiflada dándole vida a su cita de día de los enamorados con todas las características que creyó necesarias para su chico perfecto, a continuación les mostrare un poco del proceso de creación espero sea de su agrado.

Today, taking advantage of the fact that we are in the month of love, I wanted to do a series of illustrations referring to this beautiful feeling, so I asked my good friend Gemini to make a list for me so that I could be more disciplined in my drawing. However, since I set myself this new challenge, I have had a busy week and have not been able to be as consistent as I wanted to be. But hey, there's still time. I hope to at least get halfway through. The first word is “heart,” and what came to mind was to draw a genius scientist, a little crazy, bringing her Valentine's Day date to life with all the characteristics she thought necessary for her perfect guy. Next, I'll show you a little bit of the creation process. I hope you like it.

Lo primero fue decidir el dibujo y lo que se me ocurrió en primer lugar fue dibujarla defendiendo el perfecto corazón de su futuro novio de sus mascotas quienes las rodean ansiosos por ser alimentados, para ella elegí un estilo un poco descuidado en su cabello con una indumentaria de laboratorio, primero pensé en dibujar solo un perro, pero tres causarían mayor impacto,
Luego procedí a dibujar el fondo, pensé en algo sencillo un laboratorio vació con las ideas de su experimento expuestas en la pizarra, pero luego se me ocurrió dibujar también a la creación y también algunas partes del cuerpo conservadas en liquido en el fondo y por supuesto muchos cables eléctricos por todo el suelo.

The first thing was to decide on the drawing, and what came to mind first was to draw her defending the perfect heart of her future boyfriend from her pets, who surround them eagerly waiting to be fed. For her, I chose a slightly messy hairstyle and lab attire. At first, I thought about drawing just one dog, but three would have a greater impact.
Then I proceeded to draw the background. I thought of something simple: an empty laboratory with the ideas for her experiment displayed on the blackboard. But then I decided to also draw the creation and some body parts preserved in liquid in the background, and of course, lots of electrical cables all over the floor.

Después de hacer el dibujo y debido a que solo pude sentarme pocas horas durante la semana a seguir mi dibujo olvide hacer las capturas del proceso, así que solo explicare un poco mi proceso, en realidad el primer color que elegí fue el del fondo, quería algo cerrado así que elegí un tono morado para las paredes y pisos y luego si comencé a colocar la base de color sobre los personajes, para ella, también morado y café para su delantal que quería que fuese de cuero y negro para sus guantes de goma, solo una mujer un poco desesperada haría una locura como esta así que también dibuje alguna canas sobre su cabellera y finalmente marrón negro y blanco para los perros.

Pintados los personajes procedí a colorear los elementos del fondo, uno en especial que me emocionaba colorear era la pizarra verde, quería hacer el efecto de tiza suelta sobre ella y todos los estudios de ella acerca de su experimento, luego coloree al espécimen en el tubo de liquido verde, e hice el efecto transparente bajando la opacidad de la capa, lo mismo para el resto de envases con restos del cuerpo humano.

After making the drawing, and because I could only sit down for a few hours during the week to work on it, I forgot to take pictures of the process, so I'll just explain a little bit about how I did it. Actually, the first color I chose was the background color. I wanted something closed, so I chose a purple tone for the walls and floors, and then I started to place the base color on the characters. For her, I also used purple and brown for her apron, which I wanted to be leather, and black for her rubber gloves. Only a slightly desperate woman would do something crazy like this, so I also drew some gray hairs on her head and finally black and white brown for the dogs.

Once the characters were painted, I proceeded to color the background elements. One in particular that I was excited to color was the green chalkboard. I wanted to create the effect of loose chalk on it and all her studies about her experiment. Then I colored the specimen in the green liquid tube and created a transparent effect by lowering the opacity of the layer, doing the same for the rest of the containers with human remains.

Luego usando un pincel texturizado comencé a añadir algunas formas en la pared del fondo del laboratorio y también sobre el piso, con todo coloreado, procedí a añadir las sombras, en primer lugar dibuje las proyectadas por la científica y sus perros sobre el suelo y luego el de los cables en el suelo, y también algunas en los cajonera del fondo, luego dibuje un rayo de luz proyectado desde la lampara que pende del techo y luego solo algunas luces verdes de rebote sobre todo y también algo de brillo sobre los líquidos.

Then, using a textured brush, I began to add some shapes to the back wall of the laboratory and also on the floor. With everything colored in, I proceeded to add the shadows. First, I drew the shadows cast by the scientist and her dogs on the floor, then those cast by the cables on the floor, and also some on the drawers in the background. Then I drew a beam of light projected from the lamp hanging from the ceiling, and then just some green lights bouncing off everything and also some shine on the liquids.

Finalmente verifique todos los detalles y así ha quedado esta primera ilustración del mes, me gusta mucho dibujar siguiendo un reto porque siento que las ideas de pronto surgen mucho mas rápido, mi cerebro trabaja mucho mejor de esta forma, espero poder hacer algunas interesante esta vez, no publicare mi lista personal aun, lo haré cuando pueda lograr al menos un cuarto del reto.

Finally, I checked all the details, and this is how this first illustration of the month turned out. I really enjoy drawing when following a challenge because I feel like ideas come much more quickly; my brain works much better this way. I hope to come up with some interesting ones this time. I won't publish my personal list yet; I'll do that when I've completed at least a quarter of the challenge.
