Espero estén muy bien amigos, hoy estoy muy feliz de mostrarles y contarles un poco de los nuevos pollitos que llegaron a casa, se trata de un par de pollitos de una toñada de 17 huevos, lamentablemente ellos fueron los únicos a nacer y es que su descuidadada madre decidió anidar a la intemperie y muchos de los huevos no recibieron el calor para eclosionar, en principio eran de mi abuela pero como ella no tiene tiempo, ni disposición para cuidar de dos pollos y no quería dejar solo a dos pollos con la gallina, me los regalo para que yo lo cuide.
Estos días han sido muy ocupados por estar pendiente de un par de pollos suicidas que siguen a todos y se atraviesan bajo los pies, pero también muy animados viéndolos pastear y comer insectos, ramitas y gusanitos, se han convertido en mis compañeros inseparables, al parecer ahora creen que soy su madre y me siguen a todas partes, con pasitos cortos pero rápidos.

I hope you’re all doing great, friends. Today I’m really happy to show you and tell you a little about the new chicks that arrived at our house. They’re a pair of chicks from a clutch of 17 eggs. Unfortunately, they were the only ones to hatch because their careless mother decided to nest outdoors, and many of the eggs didn’t get the warmth they needed to hatch. At first, they belonged to my grandmother, but since she doesn’t have the time or inclination to take care of two chicks—and didn’t want to leave them alone with the hen—she gave them to me so I could look after them.
These days have been very busy keeping an eye on a pair of “suicidal” chicks that follow everyone around and run right underfoot, but it’s also been very heartwarming to watch them forage and eat insects, twigs, and little worms. They’ve become my inseparable companions; apparently, they now think I’m their mother and follow me everywhere, taking short but quick little steps.
