Hace unos días me he propuesto retomar la practica más seriamente, así que comencé a buscar algunas referencias de retratos para dibujar, tengo mucho interés en dibujar bien dientes y también poses que no sean comunes como muecas, así que para esta práctica de retrato use la siguiente imagen tomada de Pinterest para dibujar, les mostraré como ha sido mi proceso para realizarlo, espero me acompañen...

A few days ago I have proposed to resume the practice more seriously, so I started to look for some references of portraits to draw, I am very interested in drawing good teeth and also poses that are not common as grimaces, so for this portrait practice I used the following image taken from Pinterest to draw, I will show you how has been my process to perform it, I hope you join me....

Evidentemente lo primero que debía realizar el dibujo lineal, intento ser lo más rápida y precisa en esta parte del trabajo, así que las las líneas suelen ser bastante expresivas y aveces intrincadas, intente simplificar lo más posible el dibujo.
Una vez estuve contenta con las proporciones del dibujo, comencé a colocar las primeras pinceladas de color.

Obviously the first thing I had to do was the line drawing, I try to be as fast and precise as possible in this part of the work, so the lines are usually quite expressive and sometimes intricate, I tried to simplify the drawing as much as possible.
Once I was happy with the proportions of the drawing, I started to place the first strokes of color.

El retrato presentaba contrastes muy marcados lo cual también representó un reto, pero intente colocar la mayor cantidad de tonos desde el principio, luego tomé un pincel de mezcla con efecto al agua y comencé a mezclar los colores para recrear los volúmenes del rostro de joven.

The portrait presented very marked contrasts which also represented a challenge, but I tried to place as many tones as possible from the beginning, then I took a mixing brush with water effect and began to mix the colors to recreate the volumes of the young face.

A medida que avanzaba iba profundizando en los colores alternando con un pincel para agregar color y el otro para mezclar y suavizar el degradado de los tonos, seguidamente procedí a añadir igualmente los tonos de su cabello, al que comencé a añadir unos tonos mas oscuros con pincelas mas generales.

As I progressed I was deepening the colors alternating with one brush to add color and the other to blend and soften the gradient of the tones, then I proceeded to also add the tones of her hair, to which I began to add some darker tones with more general brushes.

A continuación proseguí difuminando los colores de la piel, a acentuar algunas zonas y adicionar nuevas luces y detalles, luego continué nuevamente con el cabello agregando nuevas pinceladas de color esta vez las zonas luminosas con mas detalle usando un pincel de trazo finos realizando trazos para definir mejor los mechones de su cabello.

Then I continued blurring the colors of the skin, to accentuate some areas and add new lights and details, then I continued again with the hair adding new strokes of color this time the luminous areas with more detail using a fine stroke brush making strokes to better define the strands of her hair.

Por ultimo afine todos los detalles faltantes, como dibujar nuevos cabellos y definir la unión de los dientes, mi objetivo desde que comencé era dibujar bien la sonrisa y los dientes no lo considero un logro total, pero me ha gustado bastante creo que ha sido un acercamiento bastante bueno me ha gustado el aspecto general del retrato y no tuve mayores problemas con la proporciones originales del dibujo y disfrute mucho el proceso, espero que también haya sido de su agrado,

Finally I refined all the missing details, such as drawing new hair and define the union of the teeth, my goal since I started was to draw well the smile and the teeth I do not consider it a total achievement, but I think it has been a pretty good approach I liked the overall look of the portrait and I had no major problems with the original proportions of the drawing and I really enjoyed the process, I hope you have also been to your liking,
