Espero se encuentren de maravilla, el día de hoy quiero mostrar mi mas reciente retrato, la verdad es que me encuentro un poco desanimada y las cosas no estaban fluyendo bien con el proyecto anterior el cual decidí dejar en pausa y hacer algo en lo que pudiera distraerme un poco, así que procedí a dibujar un retrato sencillo y simplemente dejarme llevar por los trazos, les mostrare un poco del proceso, espero sea de su agrado.

I hope you are feeling great, today I want to show you my latest portrait, the truth is that I am a little discouraged and things were not flowing well with the previous project which I decided to pause and do something that could distract me a little, so I proceeded to draw a simple portrait and just let myself be carried away by the strokes, I will show you a little of the process, I hope you like it.

El dibujo del retrato fue bastante sencillo y no estaba completo, ni siquiera había dibujado el cabello de la mujer de la referencia que fue tomada de Pinterest, como mencione antes este era un ejercicio para poder liberar mi mente y sentir que si podía pintar bien o medianamente bien, cuando me siento estancada en algún proyecto usualmente comienzo a dudar de mis habilidades y no puedo continuar y comenzar otro proyecto se vuelve mas complicado.

The drawing of the portrait was quite simple and it was not complete, I had not even drawn the hair of the woman in the reference that was taken from Pinterest, as I mentioned before this was an exercise to free my mind and feel that I could paint well or moderately well, when I feel stuck in a project I usually start to doubt my abilities and I can't continue and starting another project becomes more complicated.

Pero bien cuando comencé a pintar este retrato no tenia una expectativa muy alta, solo era un ejercicio para poder distraer mi mente y al final termino resultando muy bien, a medida que avanzaba dando pinceladas en el rostro tratando de pintar el alto contraste por la luz solar que estaba directamente sobre el rostro de la modelo me sentí muy bien y comencé a colorear el resto de detalles que harían único a este retrato.

But when I started to paint this portrait I did not have a very high expectation, it was just an exercise to distract my mind and in the end it ended up turning out very well, as I went on giving brushstrokes on the face trying to paint the high contrast of the sunlight that was directly on the face of the model I felt very well and began to color the rest of the details that would make this portrait unique.

Me encantan las hadas y mi momento reciente más feliz fue cuando hice una serie de haditas, así que después de dibujar una corona de rosas sobre su cabeza, dibuje un par de alas sobresalientes de su espalda desnuda y que para mi fue el detalle que termino de cerrar el retrato; y aunque la percibo un poco melancólica, también es algo esperanzadora.

I love fairies and my happiest recent moment was when I did a series of little fairies, so after drawing a crown of roses on her head, I drew a pair of wings protruding from her bare back and that for me was the detail that finished the portrait; and although I perceive her as a little melancholic, she is also a little hopeful.
