My Most Embarrassing Moment | Ladies Of Hive Community Contest #65

Hello ladies of hive, it's a great day and it's quite exciting to join the next round of the ladies of hive challenge. Here's my entry.

For this week, I'll be answering the question:

What is your most embarrassing moment that you can't forget?

I had an issue with a course in physiology at school which required that I rewrite the course with my juniors. Well I was determined to make better grades in the course so I decided I wasn't going to miss any of the classes. According to my timetable the class was to be held by 9am at the lab. I was a little late so I hurriedly rushed so I could meet up with the class. On getting there, the lecturer who is supposed to take the class was already in class. Well, I thought the class I was to attend was already in progress and I resisted getting in. When he noticed I was outside with some other persons, he turned to us.

Why are you outside young lady?
I don't know what you people do in your houses that makes you come late for classes.
Get in, he said.
I walked into an auditorium filled with people. Well I couldn't recognize anybody there because they were supposed to be my juniors, so I just matched in and tried to get a sit, when I bumped into a friend who wasn't supposed to have the class with me.
You are in the wrong class, he said. Only then did I realize that the class was meant for students of anatomy department, confused and embarrassed I tried rushing out of the class. Only for the lecturer to echo 'Can you imagine she doesn't even know her class's

I could hear the loud laughter from the auditorium, it took the grace of God that I didn't get stuck while standing, damn I was laughed at. I returned to my hostel and refused to come out for the rest of the day because I felt really bad. Well, I never tried attending that class again and decided to read on my own. The memory of that day still remains fresh and hopefully I would get to share it with my kids someday.
