RE: Which era will you prefer?

I was born in the 1960s.

Many things were simpler; however, many things have stayed the same.

For example, I remember distinctly that the world was going to end in the 80s if we failed to adopt socialism to save the planet.

There was a brief period when the world wasn't about to end.

But then it was about to end in the 2000s if we didn't adopt socialism to stop pollution.

I remember that things were beyond all hope and the world was going to end in 2022 if we didn't adopt socialism. Adopting socialism will stop pollution.

Oddly, socialist countries seem to have worse pollution than the capitalist countries poised to end the world.

In other words, technology has made many things better. The non-stop political squealing seems to be getting louder.

It looks like history was just a bunch of repetitions and that has also spilled into today's modern world. I can still remember that the world was predicted to end in 2012 but I can't recall if it was about socialism. Thank you for your wonderful comment, I learnt a couple of things

The narrative that the world will end if people do not repent has been around since antiquity.

The term "repent" means to change for the better.

It is not a bad thing for people to continually reassess their lives and find ways to improve things.

We should be looking for ways to reduce pollution and to increase the good that results from our actions.

There is value to having profits of doom.

The funny thing I find about profits of doom is that many of them get so caught up in their narrative that they fail to assess if their actions are doing good or bringing harm.

You're definitely right on that, sometimes we humans need a wake-up call to remind us to reevaluate the way we do things, and that can come in the form of calls of doom. Fear has a way of pushing us to do better. Thanks for the lecture and thank you for the tokens as well.
