My Husband's Coffee

Today's post has a lovely excuse because my husband woke up with the idea of surprising me with a celebratory coffee. It's been a year since we arrived in this beautiful country, and coffee is one of the drinks we both love, and it has served as a means of celebration and brought us together for meetings, work chats, everyday conversations, and much more.
For this occasion, my husband decided to make an espresso, which he makes very well and is very tasty. It's true that I'm a fan of cortaditos, cappuccinos, and other milder coffees, but, according to my parents, morning coffee should be as strong as possible to energize us and start the day in the best possible way.
Apparently. He had it all planned because he used two sets of red and green cups, although the truth is, he tried coffee in both sets and enjoyed it.
I'll tell you, the aroma of coffee woke me up, and I got up to find my husband already had the coffee pot on the stove, and the coffee was beginning to brew.
After he finished brewing the coffee, he poured it into each of our cups (red for him and green for me).
After so many years together, we already know the sugar content of each of our dishes and drinks, and this is no exception. So, I let him sweeten my coffee, and it truly tasted exquisite.
Tomorrow, July 3rd, is his birthday, and I hope I'm the one to surprise him, although the truth is that my coffee isn't as good as his.
