I love Christmas, not only for the lights, music, and colors of the season but also for the celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ. I'm excited to share my talent at the Hive Open Mic in Week #192, where we explore the theme: "Grateful" chosen by a friend and recent featured artist in our community: @wallay. Today I share with you my trumpet performance of “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” a Christmas carol with a rich musical tapestry that weaves together elements of tradition and complexity, creating an emotional and uplifting listening experience. The authorship of the music is attributed to John Francis Wade, although there are hypotheses from other authors. The lyrics are by San Buenaventura de Fidanza. The melody focuses on the key of G major, which gives it a joyful and bright character, in line with the festive message of Christmas. The harmony uses a simple I-V-IV-I chord progression. The song is written in 4/4 time, which provides a constant and fluid rhythm. This piece of music has a mostly homophonic texture, however, it has polyphonic verses and a wide range of dynamics.

Me encanta la Navidad, no solo por las luces, la música y los colores de la temporada, sino también por la celebración del Nacimiento de Jesucristo. Me siento feliz por compartir mi talento en el Hive Open Mic en la Semana #192, donde exploramos la temática: "Agradecido" elegida por el amigo y artista destacado reciente de nuestra comunidad: @wallay. Hoy les comparto mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Adeste fideles», un villancico con un rico tapiz musical que entreteje elementos de tradición y complejidad, que crea una experiencia auditiva emotiva y edificante. Se le atribuye la autoría de la música a John Francis Wade, aunque existen hipótesis de otros autores. La letra es de San Buenaventura de Fidanza. La melodía se centra en la tonalidad de Sol mayor, lo que le da un carácter alegre y luminoso, acorde con el mensaje festivo de la Navidad. If there is a historical event that has transcended humanity, it is the Birth of Jesus Christ. History is divided into before Christ and after Christ. He is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and the promised Savior of all humanity. His birth brings hope and salvation to all who accept Him. God sent his only begotten Son into the world to save us from sin and death. His birth is a testimony of God's infinite love for us. Christmas is an opportunity to celebrate love and family unity. It is a time to spend time with our loved ones and create memories that will last a lifetime. I am grateful for this wonderful season, and for the opportunity I have to serve others. Lastly, I feel grateful to share in this open mic community.
