Newbies Task 5. Tipping Tokens, SWAP. HIVE and Hive-Engine [Eng/ Esp]

This is the answer to task number 5 of the newbie initiative. For this I found the materials provided very useful and I also carried out additional searches to clarify some doubts and expand my knowledge.

I will be answering the questions that we were given to perform in this publication:

1. How is SWAP.HIVE different from HIVE?

2. Mention 2 examples of Tipping Tokens, and indicate 2 abuses of the service. PRACTICAL EXERCISE

3. Convert 1.1 HIVE to SWAP.HIVE, and convert it back to HIVE.

Let's remember a few questions before giving answers:

Hive = Name of the blockchain.

HIVE = Name of the main currency in which the Hive blockchain operates.

Token = Digital asset created by tribes (communities or projects).

HIVE

When we make posts and comments and are rewarded for it, we get HBD. This currency within the internal market of our blockchain can be exchanged for HIVE which is the official currency.

In turn, we can transfer it to other users, make Power Up, exchange it internally for HBD (to obtain profits, depending on the fluctuation of the currency) and even deposit it in savings that will grow by 20% per year.

SWAP.HIVE

Within the token market, the SWAP.HIVE is used to make exchanges through tokens, either buying or selling. They are called exchange tokens.

It is obtained by exchanging HIVE and has a value of one for one, i.e. 1 HIVE = 1 SWAP.HIVE.

As content creators, at some point we have received in curation comments this "!" symbol and followed by some letters or word. This is the way some curator shared with us a tip of their tokens, either for personal use or for some tribe. This is because our content was accepted by their tribe or is well received for its quality of content. I will give an example to make the explanation clearer:

This is a comment made by a user to my task 4 from the previous week and she shared with me two different types of tokens that respond to different tribes. As you can see, after giving his criteria, he activated two commands that respond to bots that automatically share part of their corresponding tokens.

Another way to receive tokens would be to make use of them at the time of our publication. We usually have ten spaces to place tags or topics to give them a correct place within the blockchain according to the content and topics mentioned. While the first five tags would be descriptive keywords of our information, we still have some spaces to use positively in the possible search for a token associated with what we publish on each occasion. In this way we frame our content within these tokenised tribes and may be rewarded for it.

On the site: https://tribaldex.com/tribes shows the different tribes updated, with all the necessary information (from their exchange value to a description). Here we can help ourselves with the description of each of the existing tokens and see when we can use them.

Some of them can be used for all types of content and others are used for specific topics, so it is good to know them before using them.

We could be wasting opportunities to earn Tokens by misusing them or we could be abusing them, for example: if my publication talks about "music" why would I put a tag about "food". Another important aspect to take into account is when sharing Tokens with other users in healing mode, as it would not be valid to heal a post that talks about music with a "food" Token.

Abuses are given over the misuse of tokens such as giving them out indiscriminately even if the publication does not meet the required quality and awarding these "gifts" to oneself.

I am going to use my Hive Keychain. I log in and then in the Browser, Finance, Hive-Engine.

I will convert HIVE to SWAP.HIVE:

Within this platform, in its main menu I access the Wallet, and then Deposit. Here it shows us an information where it also says that it charges a fee of 0.75% for the deposit and then gives us options to choose the token to deposit.

I type the letters of HIVE and it activates for selection. It automatically displays a balance of how much I have in my wallet of this currency and asks for the value of the deposit. The task indicates that the exchange should be made at a value of 1.1 HIVE and for this figure it indicates that I will receive an exchange of 1.092 (this is due to the value of the fee). All that remains is to accept Deposit HIVE and that's it. In a matter of seconds the operation is done and you can check in the list of our tokens the SWAP.HIVE just acquired.

Converting from SWAP.HIVE to HIVE.

From the same place in the HIVE-ENGINE Wallet, I go to the Withdraw option. Here again it alerts me to some information, including that I have to pay a 0.75% fee for the operation and then asks for the option to choose the token to exchange. I type in HIVE and it instantly lists the balance of the amount of SWAP.HIVE I just purchased, as well as the withdrawal address. As the task says I returned all of it to HIVE, I put in the same figure I got in the exchange and then accept on "Whitdraw SWAP.HIVE". It automatically lowers the balance value of my tokens and disappears from the list.

Esta es la respuesta a la tarea número 5 de la iniciativa de newbie. Para ello me fue de gran utilidad los materiales aportados y además realicé búsquedas adicionales para esclarecer algunas dudas y ampliar mis conocimientos.

Estaré dando respuesta a las interrogantes que se nos dio para desempeñar en esta publicación:

1. ¿En qué se diferencia SWAP.HIVE de HIVE?

2. Menciona 2 ejemplos de Tipping Tokens, e indica 2 abusos del servicio. EJERCICIO PRÁCTICO

3. Convierte 1.1 HIVE a SWAP.HIVE, y vuélvelo a convertir a HIVE.

Recordemos algunas cuestiones antes de dar repuestas:

Hive = Nombre de la blockchain.

HIVE = Nombre de la moneda principal en que opera la blockchain Hive.

Token = Activo digital creado por tribus (comunidades o proyectos).

HIVE

Cuando hacemos publicaciones y comentarios y somos recompensados por ello, obtenemos HBD. Esta moneda dentro del mercado interno de nuestra blockchain la podemos cambiar por HIVE que es la moneda oficial.

A su vez, se puede transferir a otros usuarios, hacer Power Up, cambiar internamente a HBD (para obtener ganancias, dependiendo de la fluctuación de la moneda) e incluso depositar en ahorros que nos crecerá en 20% anual.

SWAP.HIVE

Dentro del mercado de los Tokens, se utiliza el SWAP.HIVE para hacer intercambios a través de ellos, ya sea de compra o venta. Se denominan fichas de intercambio.

Se obtiene al cambiar los HIVE y tiene un valor de uno por uno, es decir que 1 HIVE = 1 SWAP.HIVE

Como creadores de contenido, en algún momento hemos recibido en los comentarios de curación este símbolo "!" y seguido de él algunas letras o palabra. Esta es la forma en que algún curador compartió con nosotros una propina de sus tokens, ya sea de uso personal o de alguna tribu. Esto se debe a que nuestro contenido fue aceptado por su tribu o es bien recibido por su calidad de contenido. Expondré algún ejemplo para que se evidencie mejor la explicación:

Este es un comentario que realizara una usuaria a mi tarea 4 de la semana anterior y compartió conmigo dos tipos de Tokens diferentes que responden a diferentes tribu. Como se observa, después de dar su criterio, activó dos comandos que responden a unos bots que automáticamente comparten parte de sus tokens correspondientes.

Otra manera de recibir Tokens sería hacer uso de ellos en el momento ne nuestra publicación. Usualmente tenemos diez espacios para colocar etiquetas o temas para darle un lugar correctamente dentro de la blockchain según el contenido tratado y los tópicos mencionados. Si bien las primeras cinco etiquetas serían palabras claves descriptivas de nuestra información, aún nos quedan algunos espacios para utilizar positivamente en la posible búsqueda de algún Token asociado a lo que publicamos en cada ocasión. De esta forma enmarcamos nuestro contenido dentro de estas tribus tokenizadas y puede que nos recompensen por ello.

En el sitio: https://tribaldex.com/tribes se muestran las diferentes tribus actualizadas, con toda la información necesaria (desde su valor de cambio hasta una descripción). Aquí podemos auxiliarnos en la descripción de cada uno de los Tokens existentes y ver en qué ocasión poder usarlos.

Algunos de ellos sirven para todo tipo de contenido y otros se utilizan según temas específicos, por eso es bueno conocerlos antes de utilizarlos.

Podríamos estar desperdiciando oportunidades de ganar Tokens por el mal uso o podemos incurrir en abuso como por ejemplo: si mi publicación habla sobre la "música" porqué pondría yo una etiqueta sobre "comida". Otro aspecto importante a tener en cuenta es a la hora de compartir los Tokens con otros usuarios en modo de curación, pues no valdría curar con un Token de "comida" a una publicación que habla sobre música.

Los abusos están dados sobre el uso indebido de los Tokens como repartirlos de forma indiscriminada aunque la publicación no cumpla con la calidad requerida y otorgarse a sí mismo estos "regalos".

Voy a convertir HIVE en SWAP.HIVE:

Dentro de esta plataforma, en su menú principal accedo a la Wallet, y luego en Deposit. Acá nos muestra una información donde además dice que cobra un fee de 0.75% por el depósito y después da opciones para escoger el Token a depositar.

Tecleo las letras de HIVE y se activa para su selección. Automáticamente muestra un balance de cuánto tengo en mi wallet de esta moneda y pide valor del depósito. La tarea indica que se debe hacer el cambio a un valor de 1.1 HIVE y para esta cifra me indica que recibiré un intercambio de 1.092 (esto se debe al valor del fee). Sólo queda aceptar en Deposit HIVE y listo. En cuestiones de segundos se hace la operación y se puede verificar en la lista de nuestros Tokens el SWAP.HIVE recién adquirido.

Convirtiendo de SWAP.HIVE a HIVE

Desde el mismo lugar de la Wallet de HIVE-ENGINE, voy a la opción Withdraw. Aquí nuevamente me alerta de algunas informaciones, incluyendo que debo pagar un fee de 0.75% por la operación y luego pide opción de elegir el Token a cambiar. Tecleo HIVE e instantáneamente me lista el balance de la cantidad de SWAP.HIVE que recién compré, así como la dirección del retiro. Como la tarea dice que regresé todo a HIVE, colocó la misma cifra que obtuve en el cambio y luego aceptar en "Whitdraw SWAP.HIVE". Automáticamente rebaja el valor en el balance de mis Tokens y desaparece de la lista.
