The neuroscientist Lawrence Katz has developed a system of exercises for the brain to maintain its functions until old age.
Here are some tips from his books:
Train your non-dominant hand, performing the usual rituals, such as brushing your teeth, combing your hair.
Take a shower and do other normal activities with your eyes closed.
Change the route, getting to work, shop and other familiar places.
Watch the video without sound, trying to understand by gestures, movements, what is at stake.

The Thin Red Lines.

The Thin Red Line was the first work in 20 years for reclusive director Terrence Malik. In 1978, he shot his second film, Harvest Days, began work on a third (which was also supposed to be a military drama, but the scene would be the Middle East) and soon unexpectedly left for Paris, stopping work on the painting.

In 1988, producers Bobby Geisler and Joe Roberdo met with Malik. They offered Malik to film the novel White Hotel by D. M. Thomas. Malik replied that he would like to shoot "Tartuffe" according to Moliere or the military drama "The Thin Red Line" based on the novel by J. Jones. The producers agreed to the second option. In May 1989, Malik completed the draft script. Subsequently, he turned to other projects and for a long time cast a “Thin Red Line”. In the end, in 1995, negotiations began with the actors, and in 1997 - filming.
The expression "thin red line" appeared during the Crimean War and means defense of the last forces.
