Vinland Saga is an epic work that narrates the reality of the 11th century from several points of view. Focused as the main theme in the conflicts that occurred as a result of the Danish invasions to the island of England, analyzing in depth its characters allows us to explore different realities. The main story will narrate the life of Thorfinn.

Thorfinn is the only son of Thors, a brave Viking warrior who has moved away from the fight for Valhalla to dedicate himself to a life of peace with his family in a small and remote village, where his strong character has become their leader.

Being still a child and being so isolated from the world, Thorfinn has no choice but to join Askeladd, his father's murderer, who picks him up on the condition that he collaborates with him in his band of mercenaries. Thorfinn accepts but swears to him that someday he will kill him, and to do so he must earn the right to challenge him in a duel by showing him his bravery in the different battles he will carry out during the Danish campaign in England.He only has one clear objective which is to take revenge on the person who has killed his father, and that does not allow him to see what is happening around him, or how it is affecting him as a person.The story of Makoto Yukimura is going to be nourished by very interesting characters.

Even though Askeladd is the one who caused the death of Thors, Thorfinn sees in him the figure that gives him the strength to fight and continue living day after day. Askeladd almost treats him like a son, teaching him the tricks necessary to be a great warrior.The Vinland Saga series is one of the most hard-hitting anime of recent years. It is one of the most violent and bloody that can be seen, but with a very well told story, in addition to the teaching it transmits, highlighting the values of this culture. Sinopsis

Vinland I remember watching it for my sister, for me the first season didn't really hook me enough, it's just to see a Thorfinn full of anger and resentment, with only one purpose which is to defeat the one who killed his father and while you watch the anime you don't see a chance to really defeat him, for me the first season hooks you in the last chapters either by the revelation of the prince and everything that happens with Askeladd and Thorfinn at the end. I hope you watch the second season as for me that's when there really is a good development of Thorfinn. Good post <3

I, on the contrary, liked the first season better, since in the second Thorfinn does not look like him and it is true that he is less violent, but that is what I expected from him and I was saddened every time he was abused and beaten and he did not defend himself.
