Saludos mi estimadas Damas de esta comunidad, me uno al Concurso #81 para responder la primera pregunta de la semana, esta es de un tema que me gusta mucho como los es el cultivo de vegetales en casa, me permito invitar a participar a @tere.alv y @tsunsica

1️⃣ Si planeas cultivar una huerta, ¿cuál es tu verdura favorita para cultivar y para qué platos la usas? ¡Siéntete libre de incluir una receta especial usando ese vegetal!
Desde que era niña veía las siembras de vegetales y frutos en el campo donde me crecí, estas grandes plantaciones pertenecían a personas con mucho dinero y que en su mayoría empleaban la mano obrera de las personas pobres de la región, tuve hermanos y muchos familiares que sembraron en esos terrenos de otros dueño, era difícil tener una siembra particular porque la escasez de agua es incluso actualmente un problema vigente, en cambio las personas con dinero y tierras fácilmente construían pozos o como la mayoría de los casos construían tuberías que iban desde el río hasta su plantación, sin embargo aunque mi familia no sembraba crecí con la idea de que sembrar es muy bueno.
Since I was a child I saw the vegetable and fruit plantations in the countryside where I grew up, these large plantations belonged to people with a lot of money and who mostly employed the labor of poor people in the region, I had brothers and many relatives who planted on those lands belonging to other owners, it was difficult to have a particular planting because the scarcity of water is even today an ongoing problem, on the other hand, people with money and land easily built wells or, as in most cases, built pipes that went from the river to his plantation, however, although my family did not sow, I grew up with the idea that sowing is very good.
Me gustan mucho las plantas y cuando me casé y me mudé a la casa taller de mi difunto esposo sembraba muchas cosas con su ayuda, además de tener un grande árbol de magos, tenía un árbol de limón y también llegamos a cosechar en el patio ajíes dulces , caraotas, quinchonchos e incluso tomates. Pero cuando mi esposo construyó una casa para mí y mis hijas el terreno del patio y jardín delantero era muy malo para sembrar, pero en los de 36 años que tengo viviendo aquí nunca he dejado de intentar sembrar en esta tierra, lo mayores inconvenientes han sido el suministro de agua porque aquí no llueve seguido y el problema de plagas como la hormiga, en tiempos pasados he logrado obtener de mi patio calabazas, cilantro, melón, sandía, yuca, guayaba, limones, lechoza, merey, parchita entre otros.
I like plants very much and when I got married and moved to my late husband's home workshop I planted many things with his help, in addition to having a large magic tree, I had a lemon tree and we also got to harvest chili peppers in the patio candy, beans, pigeon pea and even tomatoes. But when my husband built a house for me and my daughters, the land of the patio and front garden was very bad for planting, but in the 36 years that I have lived here I have never stopped trying to plant on this land, the biggest drawbacks have been the water supply because it doesn't rain often here and the problem of pests such as ants. In the past I have managed to obtain pumpkins, cilantro, melon, watermelon, yucca, guava, lemons, papaya, cashew, passion fruit, among others, from my patio.
Tengo mucho frutos y vegetales favoritos, actualmente tengo un árbol de mangos, dos arbustos de acerola, platas de ajíes dulce, albahaca, sábila, hoja santa, el año pasado al fin tuve la gran esperada cosecha de quinchoncho que es una leguminosa, digo que esta cosecha fue importante porque sembré muchas plantas y pocas sobrevivieron a la gran sequía, escribí una publicación sobre eso en diciembre del 2021 cuando finalmente pude preparar la sopa de estos granos cosechados en mi patio, debajo de la fotos les comparto el enlace que incluye la receta.
I have a lot of favorite fruits and vegetables, currently I have a mango tree, two acerola bushes, sweet pepper plants, basil, aloe, holy leaf, last year I finally had the long-awaited harvest of pigeon pea, which is a legume, I say that this harvest was important because I planted many plants and few survived the great drought, I wrote a post about it in December 2021 when I was finally able to prepare the soup of these grains harvested in my patio, below the photos I share the link that includes the recipe.
El agua como dije es factor determinante, el agua de lluvia ayuda más a plantas a crecer que el agua de la tubería, así que es normal que en el mes de mayo llueva y se den los frutos de acerola en mi patio y también los mangos, este año las lluvias apenas están pasando pero el año pasado las lluvias cayeron antes, así que les comparto las fotos de mi cosecha de acerola el año pasado.
Water, as I said, is a determining factor, rainwater helps plants grow more than water from the pipe, so it is normal that it rains in May and produces acerola fruits in my patio and also mangoes , this year the rains are barely passing but last year the rains fell earlier, so I share the photos of my acerola harvest last year.
Entre los vegetales que actualmente considero más apropiados para sembrar en mi patio están lo ajíes dulce estos aunque a veces se enferman de plaga y hormigas , tienen un tiempo de cosecha más rápido y además no requiere tanta agua como mis anteriores plantas de leguminosas, así que este año creo que volveré a sembrar ajíes.
Among the vegetables that I currently consider most appropriate to plant in my patio are the sweet peppers, although sometimes they get sick from pests and ants, they have a faster harvest time and also do not require as much water as my previous legume plants, so This year I think I will plant peppers again.
No es un vegetal comestible pero también me gustan muchos las flores así que siempre tengo plantas florales en mi jardín delantero, estar en contacto con estas plantas y ver su crecimiento y como florecen me hace muy feliz.
It is not an edible vegetable but I also like flowers a lot so I always have flowering plants in my front garden, being in contact with these plants and seeing their growth and how they bloom makes me very happy.
