Calles de pueblo [ESP // ENG]

En Venezuela todavía existen muchos sitios donde los años parecen que se han detenido. Un caso particular es el pueblo de Curarigua, que su casco histórico se niega a dejar su esencia colonial. Sin que esto signifique que haya sido una época de orgullo, pero sí fue el comienzo de los asentamientos y en la que los grupos familiares comenzaron a construir la "civilización" que tenemos hasta ahora.

Lo cierto es que caminar por las 3 calles transversales que componen el pueblo es una actividad que llena de tranquilidad. Respirar el aire puro que baja del cerro Curarigua e impregna a todos los hogares es indescriptible. La vida se respira abundante, el saludo amable de los lugareños y lo más importante es que el tiempo es muy distinto al que se percibe en las grandes ciudades.

En una tarde de buena compañía, de bolas criollas, me dispongo a desear larga vida al pueblo de Curarigua y todos los caseríos que están a su alrededor. Tierra buena, que con su fruto alimenta al trabajador, como dice el gran primo, Tico Páez.

In Venezuela there are still many places where the years seem to have stopped. A particular case is the town of Curarigua, whose historic center refuses to leave its colonial essence. This does not mean that it was a proud era, but it was the beginning of the settlements and where family groups began to build the "civilization" that we have until now.

The truth is that walking through the 3 cross streets that make up the town is an activity that fills you with tranquility. Breathing the pure air that comes down from the Curarigua hill and permeates every home is indescribable. Life is abundant, the friendly greeting of the locals and the most important thing is that the weather is very different from that perceived in the big cities.

In an afternoon of good company, of Creole balls, I am ready to wish long life to the town of Curarigua and all the hamlets that are around it. Good land, that with its fruit feeds the worker, as the great cousin, Tico Paez, says.
