CCC's Street Art Contest #183 - The Year of the Dragon / El Año del Dragón

Chinese culture is impressive, as it has the ability to mix many elements, which have a great energetic sense and whose roots can be traced to thousands of years old. The Chinese people are characterized by their great fighting spirit and constant struggle, throughout their history they have had to face numerous empires and other cultures that have wanted to colonize the mind of a society that would not give up, this is how little by little the People's Republic of China rises on the horizon as a beacon that emanates its own light and thanks to their perseverance, organization and discipline today is presented on the horizon as a great power.

Being the second most populated country in the world and having gone through so many difficulties, the Chinese people have been spreading throughout the world and with it has brought to every corner a little bit of that magical and extraordinary culture, where the new year is celebrated differently, where the food, the way of dressing and thinking differs a lot from what we know as traditional here in the West, but it is at this moment where one of the richest events of humanity takes place, since being sociable beings we have the ability to admire, assimilate and enjoy those cultures that seem different to us.

Al ser el segundo país más poblado del mundo y al haber atravesado tantas dificultades el pueblo chino se ha ido esparciendo a lo largo del mundo y con él ha llevado a cada Rincón un poquito de esa mágica y extraordinaria cultura, en donde el año nuevo se celebra de forma diferente, en donde la comida, la forma de vestir y de pensar difiere mucho de lo que conocemos como tradicional acá en occidente, pero es en este momento en donde se produce uno de los acontecimientos más ricos de la humanidad, ya que al ser seres sociables tenemos la capacidad de admirar, asimilar y disfrutar de aquellas culturas que nos parecen diferentes.

It is not strange to find Chinese features in any city in the world, but in such a multicultural space as the university city of Caracas it is almost obligatory to stumble upon an urban art mural as simple but spectacular as this one, where its author shows off a very good technique and gives us an impressive dragon that undoubtedly alludes to this new lunar year, which not only gives a little showiness to that gray hallway, but also encourages us to investigate a little more about the history and culture of the Chinese people.

Es de esta forma como no es extraño encontrar rasgos de china en cualquier ciudad del mundo, pero en un espacio tan multicultural como la ciudad universitaria de Caracas es casi obligado tropezarse con un mural de arte urbano tan sencillo, pero espectacular como este, en donde su autor hace gala de una muy buena técnica y nos regala un impresionante dragón que sin duda alguna hace alusión a este nuevo año lunar, lo cual no solo le da un poco de vistosidad a ese pasillo gris, sino que nos impulsa Investigar un poco más sobre la historia y la cultura del pueblo chino.
