The Abandoned Silos / The Abandoned Silos

For as long as I can remember on the Panamerican Highway there are a series of steel structures that have always been shrouded in a deep mysticism, they have been abandoned for decades, the land where they are located is government property and it is fenced so that no one dares to enter, also a couple of watchmen usually hover around the perimeter accompanied by a dog and a flashlight. The truth is that no one knows exactly what state the interior of these cylindrical structures is in, but the truth is that there is a lot of talk about them, since dozens of people claim to have seen or heard sounds, voices and cries emanating from the darkness of the place.

Desde que tengo memoria sobre la carretera panamericana existen una serie de estructuras de acero que desde siempre se han visto envueltas en un profundo misticismo, las mismas llevan décadas en estado de abandono, la tierra en donde se encuentran es propiedad del gobierno y la misma se encuentra cercada para que de esta forma nadie se atreva a entrar, además un par de vigilantes suelen rondar el perímetro acompañados de un perro y una linterna. La verdad nadie sabe con exactitud en qué estado se encuentra el interior de estas estructuras cilíndricas, pero lo cierto es que de ellas se habla mucho, ya que decenas de personas afirman haber visto o escuchado sonidos, voces y llantos que emanan desde la oscuridad del lugar.

Little by little the original gray color that covered the structures has been transformed into a whole of rusty features, some pieces have been detached and loneliness reigns all around, but the incredible thing is to see how despite being an abandoned structure it has a fence in good condition, with constant surveillance and the weeds around it are kept pruned, which makes us think that behind these silos hides the interest of some person or organization. The truth is that neither the local authorities, nor the neighbors, nor anyone seems to know what really hides this place, some try to walk along the sidewalk and prefer to cross the road before getting there, but personally I like to cross that facade, try to see inside and discover something that gives me a clue of what happens there.

Poco a poco el color gris original que recubría las estructuras se ha ido transformando en un todo de características oxidadas, algunos pedazos se han ido desprendiendo y la soledad campea en todo su entorno, pero lo increíble es ver como a pesar de ser una estructura abandonada la misma cuenta con un cercado en buen estado, con vigilancia constante y la maleza de su alrededor se mantiene podada, lo cual hace pesar que detrás de estos silos se esconde el interés de alguna persona u organismo. Lo cierto es que ni las autoridades locales, ni los vecinos, ni nadie pareciera saber que es lo que en realidad esconde este lugar, algunos tratan de caminar por esa acera y prefieren cruzar la carretera antes de llegar allí, pero en lo personal me gusta atravesar esa fachada, tratar de ver en su interior y descubrir algo que me de una pista de lo que allí sucede.

For the moment I have only been able to take some pictures of this place from the outside, but I am sure that sooner or later I will have the opportunity to enter the most mysterious place in the city of La Fria.

Por los momentos solo he podido tomar algunas capturas de este lugar desde la parte de afuera, pero estoy seguro que mas temprano que tarde tendré la oportunidad de adentrarme en el lugar mas misteriosos de la ciudad de la Fría.
