El Mundo es invadido por una especie nueva de murciélagos gigantes que cazan a su presa por el sonido, La familia Andrews al ver esta situación deciden huir de la ciudad y refugiarse en su casa de campo, pero en el camino tendrán que luchar y mantenerse en completo silencio para llegar a salvo a su casa. Lo que ellos no contaban, es que no solo tendrán que protegerse de estos animales; sino que también tendrán que protegerse de una Secta misteriosa que quiere a una de las integrantes de esta familia.

El Silencio fue una película que vi por una confusión que tuve respecto a su personaje principal, cuando vi la portada de la peli pensé que la actriz principal era Emma Watson, así que la elegí por esto, pero a los 3 minutos de haber comenzado la peli me di de cuenta que me había equivocado y que Emma no tiene ninguna participación y decidí seguir viéndola debido a que me gusta este tipo de películas apocalípticas.
The Silence was a movie that I saw because of a confusion I had regarding its main character, when I saw the cover of the movie I thought that the main actress was Emma Watson, so I chose it because of this, but 3 minutes into the movie I realized that I was wrong and that Emma has no participation and I decided to keep watching it because I like this kind of apocalyptic movies.

Sinceramente, no le tenía mucha fe a esta película, ya había visto Un lugar en silencio y Bird Box por lo que venía de ver mucho nivel en tramas similares y El Silencio es la copia de Un Lugar en Silencio, la trama es muy similar y la historia de esta peli agarra un rumbo completamente diferente a la idea inicial, siento que quisieron darle un toque único y original con el giro que da la trama y así las personas no la compararan con la película de John Krasinski, pero el giro se vio sin sentido y muy forzado.
Honestly, I didn't have much faith in this movie, I had already seen A Place in Silence and Bird Box so I had seen a lot of similar plots and The Silence is a copy of A Quiet Place, the plot is very similar and the story of this movie takes a completely different direction from the initial idea, I feel that they wanted to give it a unique and original touch with the twist that gives the plot and so people would not compare it with John Krasinski's movie, but the twist was meaningless and very forced.

La historia comienza bien y se agradece que la acción sea desde el inicio, me gusta mucho que desde el primer momento se le ve forma a estos seres asesinos y esto la diferencia tanto de Bird Box como de un Lugar en Silencio. El giro que realiza la historia es inesperado, pero forzado, me gusto la idea de introducir a la película una secta de locos, pero me falto más contexto, siento que fue muy de golpe y falto más historia para que encajara en la trama que ya estaba construida.
The story begins well and it is appreciated that the action is from the beginning, I really like that from the first moment you can see the shape of these murderous beings and this makes it different from Bird Box and A Quiet Place. The twist that makes the story is unexpected, but forced, I liked the idea of introducing to the film a sect of madmen, but I lacked more context, I feel it was very sudden and lacked more story to fit the plot that was already built.

Es una película que entretiene, pero es muy floja y se ve que desaprovechan muchísimo el tema del silencio, tienen a la mano muchos elementos para llevar el suspenso a un límite de tensión permanente, pero no lo supieron aprovechar y se queda sin poder darle un impacto al espectador. Sinceramente, yo me quedé esperando ese momento de impacto durante toda la película y cuando pensé que llegaría, se quedó muy corto y me dejo confundida por la falta de historia.
It is a film that entertains, but it is very weak and you can see that they wasted a lot the theme of silence, they have at hand many elements to bring the suspense to a limit of permanent tension, but they did not know how to take advantage of it and it is left without being able to give an impact to the viewer. Honestly, I was waiting for that moment of impact throughout the film and when I thought it would come, it fell very short and left me confused by the lack of story.
