Muchas veces me pregunté que se sentiría volar, si eso era libertad. Si no le temiera a las alturas, capaz hubiera intentado algo parecido, pero observar nunca está demás. Muchos pensarán que la vida se trata de actuar en vez de eso. Yo creo que tanto como antes de hablar, como al hacer, hay que pensar bien las cosas.

Todo esto lo analicé con al menos unos once años. Cuando ví que una prima tenía una pareja de periquitos bebés. Incluso fui a su casa a visitar, no a ella, a los pajaritos jajajajaja. Recuerdo que ella le daba pan remojado en leche, si eso le hacía mal, pues nunca lo supe.

I analyzed all this when I was at least eleven years old. When I saw that a cousin had a couple of baby budgies. I even went to her house to visit, not her, the birds hahahaha. I remember that she used to give him bread soaked in milk, if it was bad for them, I never knew.

Ahora me conformo con las fotografías, observando. Y hay algo que si puedo hacer, los puedo pintar. Quizá eso fue lo que me motivó hacer este dibujo. Tardé aproximadamente unos cinco días en terminarlo. Así que tuve que desarrollar paciencia extra jajajajaja

Now I am content with the pictures, watching. And there is something I can do, I can paint them. Maybe that's what motivated me to make this drawing. It took me about five days to finish it. So I had to develop extra patience hahaha

Inicié con cuadrículas. No tanto por las medidas, sino porque al principio no sabía ni siquiera que iba a dibujar y en dónde. Necesitaba orientarme con algo. Para dibujar las aves, hacía dos óvalos, uno arriba del otro. Claro, lo que serías sus cabecitas después, tenían que ser más pequeños. Lo demás son líneas descontinuas y dispersas. No se pueden hacer demasiadas o el dibujo se recarga innecesariamente.

I started with grids. Not so much because of the measurements, but because at first I didn't even know what I was going to draw and where. I needed to get my bearings on something. To draw the birds, I made two ovals, one on top of the other. Of course, what would be their little heads later, they had to be smaller. The rest are discontinuous and scattered lines. You can't do too many or the drawing gets overloaded unnecessarily.

Después de tener el boceto listo, usé una almohadilla de borrona, para aclarar las líneas de grafito. De todas formas hay que borrar las cuadrículas.

After having the sketch ready, I used a blotter pad, to clear the graphite lines. The grids have to be erased anyway.

Debo decirles que este es mi favorito de todos los que pinté. El amarillo que se ve ahí es marcador, también el rojo y el morado. El azul oscuro es lapicero. Lo demás, es pintado con colores, entre azul claro, verde agua y verde pasto.

I must tell you that this is my favorite of all the ones I painted. The yellow you see there is a marker, also the red and purple. The dark blue is pencil. The rest is painted with colors, between light blue, water green and grass green.

Coloree de rosa claro el pecho, y difumine con rojo carmesí los bordes, guiándome de las líneas hechas con marcador.
En la parte de abajo apliqué amarillo claro y difumine con amarillo ocre y mostaza.
En las alas añadí verde agua, nótese que en algunas partes se ve más claro. Después de cubrir completamente de verde agua encima del color anteriormente puesto (verde pasto), lo volví a usar pero para delinear y difuminar.
Hice el mismo procedimiento de las alas con la cabeza pero esta vez usé azul.
Encima del morado simplemente añadí azul marino, en los bordes un poco de negro, y seguí delineando con el lapicero.

I colored the chest light pink, and blurred with crimson the edges, guiding me from the lines made with marker.
On the bottom I applied light yellow and blurred with yellow ochre and mustard.
In the wings I added water green, note that in some parts it looks lighter. After completely covering with water green on top of the previously applied color (grass green), I used it again but to outline and blur.
I did the same procedure for the wings with my head but this time I used blue.
On top of the purple I simply added navy blue, on the edges a little black, and continued to outline with the pencil.

En las patas usé el mismo procedimiento que he explicado en otros dibujos. Usar como base amarillo y encima colocar marrón, después delinear con negro y oscurecer algunas partes.

On the legs I used the same procedure that I have explained in other drawings. Use as a yellow base and on top put brown, then delineate with black and darken some parts.

En los picos de casi todas las aves, usé negro, gris y blanco.

On the beaks of almost all the birds, I used black, gray and white.

Esta ave que parece estar hecha de fuego místico jajajaja fue pintada usando amarillo como base, difuminada con naranja y delineada con lapicero rojo, por eso sus tonalidades tan fuertes o pronunciadas.

This bird that seems to be made of mystical fire hahaha was painted using yellow as a base, blurred with orange and outlined with red pencil, that is why its shades are so strong or pronounced.

Delinear con marcador amarillo punta fina.

Aquí ya mi dibujo empieza a tomar un poco más de forma, prácticamente tardaba un días con cada dos o tres aves. Los últimos fueron los más difíciles de pintar para mí, pues tenía que hacer un buen contraste entre el rosado claro, el amarillo y el verde, sin que nada se manchara y demás de darle luz.

Here my drawing is already starting to take a little more shape, it took almost a day with every two or three birds. The last ones were the most difficult for me to paint, because I had to make a good contrast between the light pink, yellow and green, without anything staining or giving it light.

El nido me preocupaba, no quería que se viera como un desastre, todos los colores chocando sin orden y sin gracia. Así que traté de que no parecieran simples rayones.

Encima le fui colocando más gris y colores rojizos, se supone que quería algo rocoso, pero como no supe hacerlo pasé al plan B, cubrir el desastre.

On top of that I was putting more gray and reddish colors, I was supposed to want something rocky, but since I didn't know how to do it I went to plan B, to cover the disaster.

El desastre fue cubierto con verde, amarillo, marrón, gris y blanco.

La verdad no estoy muy segura de qué tan largo es lo más prudente para un post, incluyendo las fotografías, muchas veces tengo que contar todo, pienso que eso podría marear o aburrir a los lectores, así que por eso decidí que en mis dibujos explicase a detalle al menos una cosa. La idea no es solo mostrar mis dibujos. Y es la primera plataforma en que me he atrevido a mostrarlos. Me daba vergüenza hacerlo en las demás redes sociales, es otra cosa que le agradezco a Hive. Además de todo, sentir que eres de utilidad junto con otros dibujantes. Espero les haya servido. Aquí, les dejo mi mejor dibujo, por ahora.
