After the Purchase of my laptop yesterday I got into a $60 debt I hadn't budgeted for. I hate it so after my power down came in today, I sold it off and paid off my debt. The problem is, my friend got mad at me coz he didn't want me to pay him back.

I hate debt. I can't sleep when I have it so I do all I can to make sure I pay up whatever I owe once I can pay up.

This isn't only in terms of money.

Last year, when I got home after being away for nearly 8 months, I took out some time to visit family who comes around often and may have noticed my absence.

I paid a debt of presence regardless of how useless I thought it was. They had nothing to offer me other than conversations I didn't want to have about people I don't care about. It made my mother happy though.

I realized then that presence debts are almost just as important as monetary debts. I hate going out sometimes so they're pretty hard to pay.

Recently, I don't care so much for presence debts. Mostly because my parents reduced their interaction with a lot of people so not that many people know I exist. They don't ask and j don't bother.

Debts are debts to me. If you bother to ask about me, then I assume you care so if I can, I pay a visit to let you know I think about you too. I also carry a little gift if I can. Most times I just hut bread. $1 won't kill me but it will put a smile on someone's face.

So, I became debt-free once again today bit the process, I think I hurt a friend. He refused to send back the money and has been quite cold towards me since then. I don't entirely understand what the matter is but I'll probably get to the bottom of it eventually.
