New Laptop Paid For By Hive

The first laptop I ever bought gave up on me 2 weeks ago. It was a sad night, I believe I wrote about it. I was busy with an article and it just went off and refused to let me log in anymore. I hardly have the patience for repair so I just gave up and let it be.

The best part is that I didn't have anything inside the system. A while ago I got an external memory and backed up all my documents in it. I think the only thing I have on the laptop is $15 worth of BAT in my Brave browser that I hadn't moved to a wallet yet. I'll be sad if I lose that money. Took me a while to accumulate.

Anyhoo, my new laptop is pretty dope. To stop me from buying a purple, pink or red laptop with silly specs, I sent $200 to a trusted friend and gave him the responsibility of getting me something good.

He had been searching online for a while and even went out to check out an HP surface laptop that turned out to be shit. He hates going out so I know it took a lot from him to do that.

Today, he went out to the market and spent almost 4 hours searching for a laptop for me. He had some awesome options but the prices were too high. Like this one.

This one cost almost $400. I liked it a lot. Not for the specs and efficiency but the cool screen and the fact that it's a touch screen and the keyboard has lights. The specs are dope though, according to him. But it was way above my budget. Couldn't risk affording it right now.

The one he finally got cost $260. He had to add up some of his cash just to buy it and now I'm in debt.

This is officially my most expensive purchase. And it was all entirely funded by Hive.

I had to sell one of my Splinterland cards to afford it but it was worth it. I'll be able to get back all I spent once I get back to working again.

So, my new laptop's going to be called Jeffrey. My old one was a lady, Lola, coz she was purple and classy. Didn't like a lot of stress and wasn't even purchased to go through a lot of stress. So when I had some major work for her to do, she packed up.

Jeff is a Core i5, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD. He's not all that but he's efficient for what I need him to do. Plus, he's sexy, sleek and classy. I'm pleased with my new baby.

Thank you Hive! I couldn't have done this without you.

Thanks for reading!
