Hola, hola feliz y bendecido inicio de semana tengan todos mis hivers amigos en especial a todos mis estimados artesanos que hacen vida en esta bella comunidad @diyhub.

To celebrate this day of the dead I was inspired by a beautiful Catrina headband with purple flowers and gold accessories.

For its elaboration I used crepe paper, straps or cinchos among other materials.
I am very pleased and happy with the final result.

If you are like me and you love Catrinas I invite you to stay with me to watch this tutorial and put it into practice, you just have to let your imagination fly and use the color and size for the flowers that you like.

Para festejar este día de muertos me inspire en una bella Diadema de Catrina con unas flores moradas y accesorios dorados.

Para su elaboración utilice papel crepé, tirra o cinchos entre otros materiales.

Les comento que quedé muy complacida y feliz con el resultado final.

Step 01

Paso 01

• We take the crepe paper and leave it in the same firm as they do not sell them, we only stretch one side that the paper comes as half.
• We place the container on top of crepe paper, this will come to make our mold for the circles as it has the perfect size because I want some big flowers.
• We mark five circles

• Tomamos el papel crepe y lo dejamos de la misma firma como no los venden, solo estiramos un lado que el papel viene como por la mitad.
• Colocamos el envase encima de papel crepé, este vendra hacer nuestro molde para los círculos ya que tiene el tamaño perfecto porque quiero unas flores grandes.
• Marcamos cinco círculos.

• Cut out with scissors carefully so that they do not fall apart since there are many layers of crepe paper.

• Recortamos con la tijeras con mucho cuidado para que no se desarmen ya que tiene muchas capas de papel crepé.

• Here I show you that my intention was to staple them in the center, but my stapler is too small and I couldn't do it, so I took thread and needle and sewed them to secure the flowers.

• Aquí les muestros que mi intención era graparlos en el centro, pero mi grapadora es muy pequeña y no lo pude hacer, así que no pasa nada tome hilo y aguja y los cosi para asegurar las flores.

• I inserted the needle with the yarn through the center of the circle and pulled it out the other side, then reinserted it back in.
• I tied a knot to secure and trimmed off the excess thread.

• Introduje la aguja con el hilo por en el centro del circulo y lo saque por el otro lado, luego la volví a introducir de regreso.
• Hice un nudo para asegurar y recorte el excedente de hilo.

• I made three turns with the thread, inserting the needle into the paper.
• To finish, insert the needle between the threads and made a kind of loop to secure.
• I repeated the same step with the five flowers.

• Le di tres vueltas con el hilo introduciendo la aguja en el papel.
• para rematar introduce la aguja entre los hilos e hice especie de una lazada para asegurar.
• Repetí el mismo paso con las cincos flores.

• Then with the scissors I made small cuts all around the edge.

• Luego con la tijera le hice pequeños cortes por todo el borde.

• I began to assemble the flower separating the first layer of paper taking it towards the center and with the help of the hand we try to squeeze it at the bottom.
• This step is repeated with all the petals, and with each one of the flowers.

• Empecé a armar la flor separando la primera capa de papel llevándola hacia el centro y con ayuda de la mano tratamos de apretarla en la parte de abajo.
• Este paso se repite con todos los pétalos, y con cada una de las flores.

• This is how beautifully the flowers look.

• De esta forma tan hermosa lucen las flores.

Step two.

Paso dos.

Let's go on to cover the headband.

• We place the headband on the back of the golden foami.
• With the help of the height stick we measure the width and length of the headband.

Pasemos a forrar la diadema o

cintillo.

• Colocamos la diadema por la parte de atrás del foami dorado.
• Con la ayuda de el palito de altura vamos midiendo el ancho y largo del mismo.

• Then we cut it out with the scissors, apply hot silicone and glue it to the headband.
• In the part of the tips we make a round cut following the shape of the headband.
• This way we get a lined headband.

• Luego lo recortamos con la tijera, colocamos silicón caliente y pegamos a la diadema.
• En la parte de las puntas le hacemos un corte redondo siguiendo la forma de la diadema.
• De esta forma nos queda forrada.

Step three.

Paso tres.

We paint the straps.

• We put paint on the bottom first.
• We place them on the anime trays and let them dry.
• Once dry we paint one by one each strip or strap on both sides and without letting dry we place the frosting.

Pintamos los tirras o cinchos.

• Le colocamos primero pintura a la parte de abajo.
• Colocamos en las bandejas de anime y dejamos secar.
• una vez seco pintamos uno a uno cada tirra o cinchos por ambos lados y sin dejar secar vamos colocando la escarcha.

Step four.

Paso cuatro.

• Once dry, place the first strap in the center of the headband, apply silicone on the thickest part of the headband.
• Then we glue on each side.

• Una vez seco colocamos el primer tirra o cincho en el centro de la diadema, aplicamos silicón en la parte más gruesa
• Luego vamos pegando de cada lado.

• Already here I have placed the 39 cinchos or earth.

• Ya aquí le he colocado los 39 cinchos o tierra.

Step five.

Paso cinco.

• I take a flower, put a little silicone in the middle of the back part and glue it to the ground or band in the middle of the headband.
• I recommend that before gluing the flowers I place them on the headband so that you can see how far apart you are going to place them.

• Tomo una flor le coloco un poco de silicón en el medio en la parte de atrás y pego en el tierra o cincho que está en el medio de la diadema.
• Les recomiendo que antes de pegar las flores las coloquen en la diadema y así vean a qué distancia las van a colocar.

• Then repeat the same step with the rest of the flowers.

• Luego repito el mismo paso con el resto de las flores.

I placed some purple stones in the center of the flowers and in some of the golden ribbons to give it more emphasis.

• Les coloqué unas piedritas morada en el centro de las flores y en algunos de los cinchos dorados para darle mayor realce.

So beautiful and majestic was my beautiful Diadem.
