drawing a rooster

Greetings to all the Gems community.

Today inspired by rooster, drawing made in charcoal, the reference is in colors but I liked to capture it in pencil.

Starting with the 4H pencil so that when outlining they come out very fine and clear and thus be able to make corrections and give the drawing proportionality.

In the dark and slightly light colored plumage, such as black, and brown, I applied the 6B pencil without thinning the brown and blended gently.

Also on the comb, veneer and thin chins I applied pencil 6B simulating the red skin of the rooster. The eye I apply a little tan color and a white dot with cold paint to simulate the brightness of his eye. The white plumage part just some lines and a little faded shading.

The part of the black plumage, apply the 8B pencil and thus simulate that it is black. I left the legs with the 4H pencil and based on some lines simulating dry straw. In the background some fuzzy bushes and closer a thin branch with fresh leaves.
