La Musuy hot springs. (part 1) 🏞️ Trip to Mérida. || Aguas termales de La Musuy.

I am in the beautiful city of Merida in my country Venezuela, Merida is known as "the city of knights" who gave this name to the city was Juan de Maldonado a Spanish military and hiker, in honor of the native knights of the city, I learned this recently on an excursion we had, today I want to tell you how this adventure in the city is going.

Yo me encuentro en la bella ciudad de Mérida de mí país Venezuela, Mérida es conocida como "la cuidad de los caballeros" quién le dió este nombre a la ciudad fué Juan de Maldonado un militar y excursionista español, en honor a los caballeros nativos de la ciudad, esto lo aprendí hace poco en una excursión que tuvimos, hoy les quiero contar como va esta aventura en la ciudad.
These last days have been full of incredible experiences, on Sunday along with my friends and a group of guides we traveled to the hot springs of La Musuy, a place you have to visit if you visit the city of Merida, the adventure began very early where we were picked up by a bus to take us to the entrance to the hot springs, it should be noted that the hot springs are located within a private property and the owners of this place charge the entrance fee, but the experience is worth it all.
SPANISH VERSION (CLICK HERE) Estos últimos días han estado cargados de experiencias increíbles, el domingo junto con mis amigos y un grupo de guías viajamos a las aguas termales de La Musuy, un lugar que tienes que visitar si visitas la ciudad de Mérida, la aventura comenzó desde muy temprano dónde nos pasó recogiendo un bus para llevarnos a la entrada hacia las aguas termales, cabe resaltar que las aguas termales se encuentran dentro de una propiedad privada y los dueños de este lugar cobran la entrada, pero la experiencia lo vale todo.
To get to this paradisiacal place we took a paid bus tour that cost 9$ with expert guides included, we were approximately 30 people, la Musuy is located in a place away from the city, it is just a hamlet and is 45 km from the city of Merida, passing through the town of Mucuchies, for the last stretch to the hot springs of the Musuy you have to walk approximately 2 k of footpath that can take you approximately 1 hour between the mountains, for me it was a challenge and several times I had to stop to take a breath, the height of this place is 3. 200 masl approximately.
SPANISH VERSION (CLICK HERE) Para llegar a este paradisíaco lugar tomamos un tour en bus pago que costó 9$ con guías expertos incluidos, éramos aproximadamente 30 personas, la Musuy se encuentra en un lugar apartado de la cuidad, es apenas un caserío y queda a 45 km de la ciudad de Mérida, pasando por el poblado de Mucuchíes, para el último tramo hasta las aguas termales de la Musuy hay que caminar aproximadamente 2 k de recorrido a pies que pueden tomarte aproximadamente 1 hora entre las montañas, para mí fué todo un reto y varias veces tuve que parar a tomar aire, la altura de este lugar es de 3.200 msnm aproximadamente.
At this point of the adventure the altitude was hitting me a little and I felt dizzy, but then we continued advancing little by little, my little 3 year old daughter was with us and I admire her effort to walk all this way, once in a while I carried her because she was tired but she is a little warrior who enjoyed the whole trip.
SPANISH VERSION (CLICK HERE) Al llegar a la mitad del camino a las aguas pude descansar y tomar un poco de agua, en este punto de la aventura la altitud me estaba pegando un poco y me sentía mareada, pero después seguimos avanzando poco a poco, mi pequeña hija de 3 años estuvo con nosotros y admiro mucho su esfuerzo de caminar todo este trayecto, una que otra vez yo la cargaba por qué estaba cansada pero es un pequeña guerrera que se disfrutó todo el viaje.

Merida is a very touristic city, the Pico Bolivar is the highest mountain in Venezuela and is the only peak that still has an iceberg, unfortunately due to global warming this iceberg is melting 😔 also something very interesting is that in Merida is the second largest cable car in Latin America, really here there is a lot to see, sure I will be telling you more of this adventure.
