Hace una semana más o menos me hicieron está comisión, tenía tiempo que no hacía estos shorts tipo playero que aquí en Cumaná se usan muchísimo, tanto hombres como mujeres los usan a diario, pues son muy frescos y la variedad de estampados que puedes encontrar es muy diversa, hoy me tocó trabajar con un divertido estampado de hamburguesas (el Short es para un niño así que me pareció divertido), la tela que utilice es microfibra, una tela bastante resistente.

A week or so ago I was made this commission, it had been a while since I made these beach type shorts that here in Cumana are used a lot, both men and women use them daily, they are very cool and the variety of prints you can find is very diverse, today I had to work with a fun hamburger print (the Short is for a child so I thought it was fun), the fabric I used is microfiber, a fairly durable fabric.
Recuerdo que mi abuelo hacia ropa para vender y es increíble como sin querer me convertí en costura, ya muchos de mis amigos y familiares conocen mi trabajo y me dicen que coso muy bien, así que me han encargado hacerles ropa, aún me falta mucho por aprender.
I remember that my grandfather used to make clothes to sell and it is incredible how unintentionally I became a seamstress, many of my friends and family already know my work and tell me that I sew very well, so they have commissioned me to make clothes for them, I still have a lot to learn.

Para este proyecto necesitaremos medio metro de microfibra unicolor o estampado que desees, hilo mostaza o del color de tu tela, Alfileres, Tijera, Cinta métrica, elástica dela ancho que desees, patrón en papel, Aguja y máquina de coser.
For this project we will need half a meter of unicolor or printed microfiber of your choice, mustard thread or the color of your fabric, pins, scissors, measuring tape, elastic of the width you want, paper pattern, needle and sewing machine.

Paso a paso || Step to step
Comenzamos doblando la tela y colocándola en una superficie plana, el primer paso es colocar el patrón sobre la tela (doble), sujetamos con alfileres para que no se mueva y cortamos 2 piezas delanteras y 2 traseras, debemos tener en cuenta agregar 1 o 2 cm de margen de costura, también en la parte de la pretina cortamos 6 cm más alto, que es el ancho de la elástica.
👀 ¡¡¡OJO!!!👀 Cuando cortemos las piezas traseras debemos de tener en cuenta que el tiro trasero es más largo.
- We start by folding the fabric and placing it on a flat surface, the first step is to place the pattern on the fabric (double), we fasten with pins so that it does not move and cut 2 front and 2 back pieces, we must take into account to add 1 or 2 cm of seam allowance, also in the waistband part we cut 6 cm higher, which is the width of the elastic.
- When we cut the back pieces, we must take into account that the back yoke is longer.
- Comenzamos a coser y nos toca unir los tiro del pantalón, colocamos las piezas delanteras enfrentando derecho con derecho y pasando costura recta y luego zigzag rematando la costura, lo mismo hacemos para la parte trasera.
- We start sewing and it is our turn to join the pants, we place the front pieces facing each other right to right and sewing straight and then zigzag stitching to finish off the seam, the same thing we do for the back.
- Continuamos enfrentando los derechos de las piezas ya cosidas (delantera y trasera), y cosemos a los costados del short y también la entrepierna, como último paso deje los ruedos se las piernas, hice una doblez doble de 1,5 cm cada uno y cosí con costura recta todo el contorno de cada pierna.
- We continue facing the right sides of the already sewn pieces (front and back), and we sew the sides of the shorts and also the crotch, as a last step I left the hems of the legs, I made a double fold of 1.5 cm each and sewed with a straight seam all the way around each leg.
- Para la coser la pretina primero hice un doblez en todo el contorno de la cintura y pase costura recta, seguidamente comencé a pegar la elástica con costura en zigzag, primero cosí hacia la orilla para luego doblar hacía adentro y rematar con zigzag, podemos hacer otras costuras a modo de decoración.
- To sew the waistband I first made a fold all around the waistband and sewed a straight seam, then I started to stick the elastic with zigzag stitching, first I sewed towards the edge and then folded inwards and finished with zigzag, we can make other seams as decoration.
