Educar por televisión - Los retos de la educación en Venezuela - caso Direct Tv - ESP/ENG - Primera parte por @yusmi

Siempre se ha discutido en muchos ámbitos de la educación el rol que cumple la televisión en la formación de valores y de instrucción en los niños y más en especial cuando estos están en edad escolar. El gobierno de Venezuela desde hace aproximadamente nueve semanas atrás cuando decretó la suspensión de las clases presenciales en todas las escuelas e instituciones del país diseñó una estrategia para continuar el año escolar que pretende entre otras cosas que los niños y adolescentes reciban instrucción a través de la televisión nacional.

The role of television in the formation of values and instruction in children has always been discussed in many areas of education, especially when children are of school age. La televisión ha sido uno de os medios de comunicación social que históricamente ha impactado más la vida de los seres humanos en todo el mundo a donde esta ha llegado, imponiendo y moldeando conductas a través de sus programas y controlada por interese comerciales que hacen que la mayoría de los que estamos frente a la pantalla nos convirtamos en verdaderos zombies de su gran poder de atracción.

Television has been one of the means of social communication that has historically had the greatest impact on the lives of human beings all over the world, where it has arrived, imposing and shaping behaviours through its programmes and controlled by commercial interests that make most of us in front of the screen become real zombies with its great power of attraction.

Los niños y adolescentes no escapan de esta magia que envuelve a la televisión y lastimosamente esta no está diseñada para educar sino para crear a consumidores potenciales de productos dentro de un ámbito netamente capitalista y comercial de consumo masivo, de tal manera que educar e instruir sería una de sus últimas intenciones.

Children and teenagers do not escape from this magic that surrounds television and unfortunately it is not designed to educate but to create potential consumers of products within a purely capitalist and commercial environment of mass consumption, so that education and instruction would be one of its last intentions.

Volviendo a el tema local es necesario comprender que en su momento los venezolanos durante principios de siglo dado los altos ingresos de la producción petrolera pudo aumentar a través de las políticas económicas del gobierno su poder adquisitivo y esto desencadenó en cada cada familia venezolana por lo menos y no estoy exagerando tuviera entre dos y tres televisores por casa.

La señal abierta de las principales televisoras no llegan con claridad a todas las regiones de nuestro país dada la configuración geográfica de cada una de las grandes regiones, lo que obligó a la población a suscribirse a empresas de televisión por cable para poder acceder a las programaciones que ofrecían los canales nacionales más los canales internacionales.
