The 2nd and final T20I Match of the Afghanistan tour of Bangladesh, 2023 was played today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. In which Bangladesh beats Afghanistan by 6 wickets (DLS Method) and with this victory also clean-sweep the series by 2-0.
Due to the rain match was reduced to 17 overs per side instead of 20 overs. In this way, Bangladesh chased the target very easily for the loss of just 4 wickets in 16.1 overs and won the match by 6 wickets (DLS Method), with this victory Bangladesh also won the series by 2-0.
Afghani bowlers Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 2 wickets for 28 runs in his spell, Azmatullah Omarzai 2 wickets for 17 runs in 3 overs, Rashid Khan was wicketless just for 19 runs in his spell, Fazalhaq Farooqi wicketless for 19 runs in 3 overs, and Wafadar Momand also wicketless for 30 runs in 2.1 overs.
Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was selected as the best player of the match and series, he performed very brilliant bowling as well as also in batting, took 2 wickets just for 15 runs in 3 overs, and also played an unbeaten inning of 18 runs with the help of 1 six and 1 boundary in just 11 balls.
