Is Hive and Steem are still same?
Hive blockchain is growing and developing on daily basis,we as a hive community and hive users believe hive have a bright future, We know Hive is going to dominate world of web 3.0 and decentralized social media in future
But there are some people who think hive is just a another version of steem blockchain because of the similarities both blockchains have, back in 2020 when hive forked from steem, it looks steem is ahead of Hive, in 2020 steem have more total marketcap then hive its coin price is also above hive coin price
But now in 2023 hive is for ahead of steem in terms of everything, hive coin price is $0.31 per coin with total market capitalization of 154 million dollar and its at 144th position on coinmarketcap.com on the other hand steem coin is at 279th position on coinmarketcap.com with total market capitalization of 74 million dollar only with the price of 0.19 per coin
Another thing is there is only one well known dapp currently available on steem that is steemit, but hive have so many successful dapps and Frontends like leofinance, Splinterlands, ecency, actifit and peakd
Means in terms of basics steem and hive may looks same but in terms of growth, development, value and decentralization there is no comparison between these two blockchain, Justin Sun also implemented some changes to steemit he intergrated Trx token into the steem ecosystem so steem users earn rewards in Trx, another thing is they reduced power down window from 3 months to 1 month
After few failed experiments in the start they are silent and not shared any development related updates with their users, even Justin Sun is inactive on steemit from last 2 years
So in short steem is nothing without steemit which is also going down day by day in terms of organic growth, but hive on the other hand have hundreds of active users, developers and dapps
Thats why it's not good to say hive just a another version of steem infect it's much better and becoming totally different then steem, the basic idea of creating steem is to build a decentralized, censorship resistant and community owned social media platform and hive is still staying with this basic concept and steem is for away from the decentralization, censorship resistant and community owned blockchain or social media platforms the reason of this is a influence and control of Justin Sun and tron foundation on steem
Please don't compare or confuse hive a truly decentralized, censorship resistant and community owned blockchain with the steem which looked like a organization or company owned by Justin Sun and tron foundation
What's your opinion is you think Hive and steem are same or you see a huge difference between both

I don't think they are the same at all and in fact they are totally different.
simply Steemit and Steem are experiencing the decline that was predictable due to all the events that have occurred, on the other hand Hive is taking its rightful place.
there will come a time when those few remaining on Steemit will understand that it is appropriate to leave it alone; let's face it it's not decentralized at all and you have apparent freedom of speech but everything can be censored anytime there.

steemit was beginning, hive is present and maybe future, at least its better on this wave;)
The two blockchains are similar because Hive forked off of Steem. But, as you say, Justin Sun made some changes to Steemit and Hive has grown, so they do operate differently. It's like the difference between a man and his son. They may look alike in many ways, but their characters could be vastly different.
