Majarate dulce tradicional - Traditional sweet majarate

Hoy quiero compartir una rica receta de un dulce tradicional de nuestro estado Sucre la cual han preparado de generación en generación como lo es el majarete. Era costumbre para mi abuela prepararnos la merienda de la semana con amor y dedicación, ella del calor de estar en la cocina su carita se le ponía rojita mientras estaba ocupada con su preparación, recuerdo que utilizaba una paila grande para elaborar el majarete, cuando estaba lista la merienda la servía en la cáscara los de los cocos, tazas y platos, todos nos sentábamos a disfrutar de esta rica merienda, el resto de la preparación del majarete se vaciaba en platos hondos para su enfriamiento, luego cortarla en pedazos y guardar en la nevera para comer durante la semana.

Today I want to share a delicious recipe of a traditional sweet of our state of Sucre which has been prepared from generation to generation as is the majarete. It was customary for my grandmother to prepare the snack of the week with love and dedication, she used to use a large pan to prepare the majarete, when it was ready, she would serve it in the shell of the baking pan, When the snack was ready she served it in the coconut shells, cups and plates, we all sat down to enjoy this delicious snack, the rest of the majarete preparation was emptied into deep dishes to cool, then cut into pieces and stored in the refrigerator to eat during the week.



Preparación-Preparation

Para su elaboración necesitamos los siguientes ingredientes:1 taza de harina de maiz,2 cocos, Canela, Papelón , Agua.

For its preparation we need the following ingredients: 1 cup of corn flour, 2 coconuts, Cinnamon, Papelón, Water.




Lo primero que se debe hacer sacar la pulpa del coco, luego procedemos a rallarla se coloca en un recipiente hondo, se le agrega el agua, se exprime lo suficiente para desprender la leche del del coco, seguidamente utilizamos un colador para separar la leche del bagazo del coco y obtener las tazas de leche de coco que se requieren que son aproximadamente 6 taza.


The first thing to do is to remove the coconut pulp, then we proceed to grate it, place it in a deep bowl, add water, squeeze enough to remove the coconut milk, then use a strainer to separate the milk from the coconut bagasse and obtain the required cups of coconut milk, which are approximately 6 cups.




Una vez que tenemos las tazas de leche se vacían en una palla la mezclamos con la harina de maíz la movemos lentamente hasta que se diluyan todos los ingredientes.

Once the cups of milk are emptied into a shovel, mix it with the corn flour and stir it slowly until all the ingredients are diluted.




Procedemos agregar el papelón rayado a la mezcla y una pizca de sal y cocinar a fuego lento por 20 minutos movemos la preparación para evitar se pegue de la paila.

Add the grated papelón to the mixture and a pinch of salt and cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring the preparation to prevent it from sticking to the pan.




Listo apagamos la hornilla de la cocina, se sirve el majarete caliente en los envases que se escojan y se le agrega la canela en polvo.

Ready, turn off the stove, serve the hot majarete in the containers of your choice and add the cinnamon powder.




Esta rica receta se puede disfrutar fría o caliente, es costumbre cuando se elabora gran cantidad de majarete guardamos una buena porción en la nevera para su conservación para disfrutarlo durante la semana.

This delicious recipe can be enjoyed hot or cold. It is customary when a large quantity of majarete is prepared to keep a good portion in the refrigerator for storage and enjoy it during the week.

Amo el majarete, es exquisito. Sin embargo, no tenía idea de que usaran la concha de coco con este fin. Fabuloso!

Es una costumbre usar la cascara para servir esta merienda entre familia.

Me encanta preparar el majarete en casa, es lo mejor que hay. Su sabor es muy sabroso, buena idea debo hacerlo en casa una vez más.
Tu platillo se ve delicioso y la canela no puede faltar, lo hace aún más sabroso.
