Ricos Turrones de coco / Tasty coconut nougat

Hoy quiero compartir una tradicional receta de nuestro estado Sucre, Venezuela como el turrón de coco, el cual es muy comercializado en nuestra región. El turrón de coco preparado por mi abuela como por mi madre, era una de esas tantas meriendas que nos hacían cada fin de semana y de esa forma se aseguraban que consumieras meriendas saludables y a la vez aprendiéramos a preparar esta tradicional receta. Esta merienda se ofrece en diferentes expendios comerciales; así mismo los emprendedores de dulcería criolla las ofrecen en diferentes zonas de nuestra capital, siendo esta actividad un medo de sustento para las familias.

Today I want to share a traditional recipe from our state of Sucre, Venezuela such as coconut nougat, which is very commercialized in our region. The coconut nougat prepared by my grandmother and my mother, was one of those many snacks that we did every weekend and thus ensured that you consume healthy snacks and at the same time learn to prepare this traditional recipe. This snack is offered in different commercial outlets; likewise the entrepreneurs of Creole sweets offer them in different areas of our capital, being this activity a means of livelihood for families.

Preparación- Preparation


Hoy voy a preparar un rico turrón de coco el cual se elabora con los siguientes ingredientes: ingredientes 2. cocos , 1 Papelón

Today I am going to prepare a delicious coconut nougat which is made with the following ingredients: ingredients 2. coconuts, 1 Papelon

En primer lugar se parten los cocos, luego se extrae la pulpa del coco, de inmediato se precede a rallarlos.

First the coconuts are split, then the coconut pulp is extracted and immediately preceded by grating.

El siguiente paso es picar el papelón en pequeños trozos, luego se añade al caldero previamente calentado en la cocina, culminado este paso se agrega al caldero el coco rallado y se mezcla con el papelón derretido.

The next step is to chop the papelón into small pieces, then add it to the previously heated cauldron on the stove. Once this step is completed, add the grated coconut to the cauldron and mix it with the melted papelón.

Con una paleta de madera se mezclan los ingredientes aproximadamente durante 40 minutos evitando que la mezcla se seque esto es un paso muy importante en la preparación, la misma debe quedar un poco húmeda para luego vaciarla en una bandeja.

With a wooden paddle, mix the ingredients for approximately 40 minutes, preventing the mixture from drying out, this is a very important step in the preparation, it should be a little wet and then poured into a tray.

Lo ultimo es dejar enfriar para luego cortar en pequeños trozos. Te invito a que prepares esta rica receta que estoy segura será de agrado para cualquier ocasión que desees compartir en familia o con amigos cercanos.

The last thing to do is to let it cool and then cut into small pieces. I invite you to prepare this delicious recipe that I am sure you will enjoy for any occasion you want to share with family or close friends.

what a simply sweet creation! 😃 I'd probably have a not so simple way of acquiring these ingredients but seeing as it's easily made, it looks worth to try it! 😄 thank you for sharing this awesome sweet snack!
