The Wake-up call!

I am an onboarder in the Hive Community.

Not only do I post frequently and try stay as active as I can, I get a kick out of helping other people grow. The potential for synergy with other people in the future is massive.

With that synergy, I mean that it is possible for someone with 1000HP to grow 100HP in a month of casually posting. But someone with 10HP can get to 100HP in a week, a month or 3 months - CASUALLY posting. Depending on how it goes!

So let's say that only 10% get it right in under 2 weeks, 40% take 1 month and 50% take 3 months... what would be exciting then is to see 100 new accounts take on no less than 23,000HP in 3 months time. Some will do better, some will do less. but now imagine those 100 people, that 23,000HP's worth of stake rolling in on a community.

Effectively, one could create a very successful curation trail out of such a community, this gotten in only 3 months.

What I have noticed about my own growth is that it becomes somewhat exponential. What happens with the 23,000HP in 100 accounts in 12 months. Well on a linear scale they are at 92,000HP. Most likely it would be more like x1.2 each 3-month block. These are BROAD averages and speculation... but let's give it a whack:

Q1: 23,000HP
Q2: 23,000 x 1.2 = 27,600 + 23,000 = 50,600HP
Q3: 50,600 x 1.2 = 60,720 + 50,600 = 111, 320HP
Q4: 111,320 x 1.2 = 133,584 = 111,320HP = 244,904HP

224,904HP across 100 accounts is an average of 2449HP per account. Is this possible? I believe that if there was 100 truly interactive accounts on Hive, who contribute good levels of quality content and engagement that it is certainly POSSIBLE.

I would certainly say that it is possible to envision that the result would be somewhere between those two figures: 92,000HP and 244,904HP with a middle ground of 168,452HP.

What would a community like this look like in 3 to 5 years?

Thoughts on the above

The above was meant to show "casual" posting but there is one big keywork that I omitted up till this point: Consistency

Casual posting to me means 2-3 posts a WEEK, but they would need to be consistent about it and post every week for the above to work. On the days they are not posting they need to go around to the other 99 accounts and upvote and comment and go to another 50 Hive accounts a week and interact, upvote and comment there as well.

Only then will this growth occur!

The biggest obstacle to this potential

The catch phrase for people who say they do not think that they can use Hive: "I don't have enough time."

This is NONSENSE.

If you MAKE time, you will HAVE time.

I just worked a 20 hour shift at work. There was a breakdown and planned after hours work was supposed to take us about 2 hours after 7PM... but then the schedule of our local power cuts was suddenly upgraded and we spent 2 hours working in near darkness and other things did not go to plan.

So my day was like this: I woke up at 5PM, I got ready for work, made lunches for the family, started a draft on my last post here.

I then went to work 8AM and completed the post while eating lunch.

I then finished my regular day's work at 4:30PM and began the overtime working. We finished at 3AM the next morning. At 4AM I was showered and had something to eat and then did my daily Splinterlands stats post here.

I then went to sleep at 4:20AM and woke up at about 5:30AM to get up and make coffee for my partner and make us lunches.

Now before you go running to a union on my behalf or the SPCA, usually we get a day off after working so late. HOWEVER, I cannot take the day off because I had booked a course that I MUST attend today or else forfeit the money we paid for the course.

AND Soooooooo I also write you THIS post because you know... I have been posting 74 days consecutively and I am not about to let a little lack of sleep stop my roll. Of course, I am going the SCHEDULE this post for 10AM my time and be out the door and go look at our night time work and then to the office to have a look at the course I need to attend!

My point is... that there WAS time because I MADE time.

If you have trouble with time... look at my life haha. You need to look at your own time habits. If you can't do Hive but you are always busy then I suppose that you are very successful and that your time management has helped you become successful in other things.

No?

Then start by managing sufficient time management skills to post 3 times a week on Hive! Stay consistent for a week, for a month and for a year and you will see how you grow! Track your progress!

Band together!

Does anyone need help with keeping themselves busy on Hive? Drop me a comment! We will help you!

Who is we? Well there are some of us that are VERY active on Hive, that is part of this Community. I do not even need to call them out or tag them... they will make their appearance. Please feel free to comment below you buzzy people please! You are my best example!

That's all for today!

Cheers!

I managed a month of posting daily last November and that maxed me out, so respect to you for having the discipline to post for 74 consecutive days.
