I can't do much, so here is pictures of Mittens! The Murderkitty

South Africa... currently a disaster zone because load shedding in winter - due to high demand on the grid and an infrastructure that is not working properly, means that I do not have power in the house at the right moments for me to sit at my PC in normal hours and write like I want to.

So... here are some pictures of our new kitten. There is that at least!

In a nutshell, Mittens is lovely and sweet but also called "The Murder Kitten" as she will attack and savage anything and everything that moves.

The strangest thing is that she will go from one mode to another quite suddenly. Her internal monologue seems to go like: Love me, love me, love me, I love you, HA!, I eat your fingers!, I grab!, I tear!, Hahahaha!, I run! Why is the bearded human throwing pillows at me? I hide!..... hello! I love you? I love you! I sleep now.

She comes to cuddle and sleep quite peacefully but one morning at stupid-o-clock I woke up with her tearing into my naked back with her claws. So viscously that it had left a long scratch down my back! This was not like catching wiggling toes! Why would she claw my back?!

Anyway. We love Murderkitty.
