Warhammer 40,000 - I make a BIG purchase!

Good day! Zak here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is Warhammer 40,000!

And this is how I often manage to expand my army fast and for relatively cheaply. Simply put - Buy someone else's army. When models go up for sale and they go at a good rate, you grab them up!

In the picture above, there is more or less $680 worth of models! Which I bought for about $230.

I worked a LOT of overtime about 3-4 months ago. I finally got paid that money. I used this money to pay off several outstanding accounts and putting money aside for other accounts as well as money put aside to pay for car services etc.

However, my lady, my love, @clairemobey insisted that I DO spend at least some of it on myself and get myself that makes me happy. Thank you babe!

So I bought these 66 models. (Actually thought it was just going to be 64 models and then the guy included another $72 worth of models into the bundle for free!)

This is a Space Wolf army, but includes Primaris units I do not have. As well as some others...

So let's look what I got!

20x Power Armoured models. 15 of these are basically Grey Hunters/Blood Claws and 5 of them are kitted out as Wolf Guard.

I have plenty of these, but these came in the bundle... I don't mind... I love having massive armies...

5x Long Fangs. Again I have plenty of these. Plenty Space Marine heavy weapons. Again, I do not mind. For my massive Imperial collection, they get added in!

5x Fenrisian Wolves. This is a unit I have not had, not the new ones. I have some wolf models and they are comically smaller than these wolves. I might remodel my old wolves on some rocks and on this size base and field them anyway!

A Redemptor Dreadnought of my own (The big one on the right) I used this Dreadnought in the King of the Cape Tournament and had to borrow Nic's. Now I have my own! Awesome!!!

Also, there is a Space Wolf Dreadnought with Fenrisian Great Axe and Blizzard Shield. This can iether be fielded as a Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnought or as a Wulfen Dreadnought! I have wanted this model for a long long time!

Thunderwolf Cavalry! Another iconic unit that I have wanted for a long time! They were always just too expensive to buy new. They come in boxes of 3, here are 6 of them!

2x Drop Pods! They are the models that were added in as an afterthought after I had already paid! Awesome! I already have 2x Drop pods, this makes Drop Pod Assault army lists far more plausible!

3x Primaris Aggressors! These are new units I have never had. They are armed with Flamestorm Gauntlets. Basically flammers and pairs of Power fists!

3x Interceptors. These I have also never had. They fly and lay down blistering amounts of firepower.

Here are some characters. 2x Primaris Lieutenants. 1x Gravis Captain. 1x Primaris Ancient. 1x Wolf Lord. 1x Geigor Fell-Hand.

All except the Wolf Lord are models I have never had!

16x Primaris Intercessors. This is the meat and potatoes of the new Primaris Marine factions. Now I have a decent brick of them to utilize as I wish.

And finally a 5 man squad of Hellblasters! Another new Primaris unit I did not have before! Loads of AP -4 here!

And that's it! That's my new additions! I will have to slowly paint them up to match my army, one model at a time! I am still busy remastering my current guys into their squads as they need to be.

I wonder if this is folly since 10th edition will shake things up a bit... but onwards! I shall paint models!

So in this sense, I have just expanded on my Pile of Shame! In Warhammer 40k, this refers to all your models and units you have not assembled and painted or just not painted.

I need to make work of it!
