Warhammer 40k - I get Commissioned to build models! My turn around time was lightning fast!

On Sunday I went through to the Sword and Board hobby shop... well, to be accurate @xenowolfza did a fine job of twisting my arm to go to the Dead Painters Society meetup where hobbyists get together to paint some models. And I am glad that he did!

The group was doing a basing tutorial but you could also just do whatever you wanted. I had no idea what I wanted to paint, so I brought 4 different things and just rolled dice for it. (More about that in another post)

While sitting and painting we all get to chat to one-another and soon a deal occurred. A guy called Gerrit had some Space Marines for @xenowolfza and a transaction took place.

Then it occurred to Marnus that he would need to build a lot of models and he jokingly said he would give me the models to build. I said I would build them, quick and easy.

So by the time the models arrived (Gerrit went home to fetch them), the idea had taken root and I was going to build the models.

I am sure that Marnus would have given me a week or two to build them, but I actually started that afternoon.

You see... the Captain's one shouldepad was loose in the packet... so I built him...

And that had been fun, so I started watching stand-up comedy and started building the Librarian...

With that done, I just took the next thing my hand touched and decided I would build that... the Ballistus Dreadnought? Well fine then!

While building these models I use my clippers and files to cut away the connection points and smooth over heavy mold lines. The newer models have less mold lines than the old stuff.

Eventually the Dreadnought was built and I started on the terminators...

There are 5 terminators in that kit and then I realized that I do not need to build the other...17 models in the kit... because I had them built already!

You see, this all comes from the Leviathan set and as such I already had all the other models built and ready.

It was a bit of a surprise when I let @xenowolfza know that his models are ready for collection! LOL

Now he just needs to post when he paints them!
