What’s up Splinterlands Warriors!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying playing Splinterlands daily. After a long Christmas break, Splinterlands town hall happened two days ago, Where the Splinterlands team announced so many exciting features and future plans for the game. But, In this post, I will discuss the new upcoming airdrop system: The Rebellion Conflicts.

image.png

Conflicts is a new airdrop system for the Rebellion set. Previously, players received airdrops based on the number of packs they purchased, with no requirement to hold them. With Conflicts, players must contribute to the war effort (by purchasing Mage Wagons and staking Rebellion packs and cards in them) to accumulate chances at an airdrop. There will be 9 Conflicts, each lasting around 30 days. With this new system, Those who own the rebellion assets(packs & cards) & stake those (packs & cards) into wagons, only they will be awarded airdrop cards. Also, on the previous airdrop system, you had to purchase packs from Splinterlands shop only to participate in the airdrop, but now you can buy from any 3rd party market shop and participate in the airdrop.

Requirements to participate in Conflicts:

  1. You must have to own Rebellion Card(s) or Unopened Rebellion Pack(s).
  2. To participate in conflicts, players have to buy Mage Wagon(s).
Owning Assets:
  • Rebellion Card(s) or Unopened Rebellion Pack(s) must be owned by you.
  • Cards that are delegated or rented to you may NOT be used in Conflicts.
  • Cards you have delegated/rented out or listed on the market may NOT be used in Conflicts.
  • Packs do not need to be purchased directly from the Splinterlands shop to participate in Conflicts. They may be purchased on the Non-Card/3rd party market.
Mage Wagon:
  • Each Mage Wagon increases the maximum allowable number of cards by 5 and total packs by 100.
  • Each Mage Wagon cost 50 vouchers/10k $DEC, or 10k credits. Wagons purchased can be used for every conflict (no need to rebuy) and will remain on your account for potential future uses even after Rebellion conflicts are over.
  • A maximum of 200 Mage Wagons can be purchased per transaction.
  • Mage Wagons are soulbound and cannot be transferred or sold.
  • Cards that are on Mage Wagons can be used in Ranked battles/Tournaments/Brawls. But, it cannot be traded, rented, delegated, combined, sold, or usable on land.
  • Cards can be removed from Conflicts at any time and will be instantly available for transfer or sale without cooldown.
  • Packs that are staked on Mage Wagons cannot be transferable or openable.

CCC (Conflict Contribution Calculation):

  • Each staked pack adds 100 Contributions per hour towards the Conflict.
  • The total collection power (CP) of the cards in a Mage Wagon (max of 5 cards), combined with its staked packs, determines its Contribution per hour.
    Example: if you add 5 max common rebellion cards and 100 packs in a wagon, then it will contribute [ {5 x 2100 (each max common rebellion CP) = 10500 Contribution} + {100 Pack x 100 (Contribution for each pack) = 10000 Contribution} = 20500 Contribution per hour ]
  • Max-level cards have a 5% collection power bonus, So adding max-level cards into wagons is more profitable.
  • For every 100,000 Contribution accumulated, 1 chance at an airdrop is granted. No half or partial chances will be awarded.
Example: 104000 Contribution will be counted as 1 chance at an airdrop(that 4000 extra Contribution won't get any chance).
  • For every 200 airdrop chances, 1 card is guaranteed.
  • Each Conflict will last around 30 days and may be joined any time before it ends.

Gear up for Conflict: Step-by-Step

First, Determine how many wagons you have to buy. You have to calculate how many cards & packs you own. For example, I will put my max rebellion deck into wagons, and I will not put any packs. So, I am going to use the Peakmonsters interface to calculate those. You can also follow my steps for quick calculation.

example.png

Here, I showed some filters to determine the Contribution and Wagons numbers:

  1. Use the shown filters on your Peakmonster My Cards Page. After checking on those boxes, it will show the cards are eligible for Conflicts.
  2. Select all Cards. For a better view, use BULK view mode. But if you have any duplicate cards and don't have any plans to sell in the future, I suggest combining them first and then Selecting all.
  3. After selecting all cards, on the top right you will get the number of cards you own and are eligible for Conflicts. So I have 87 Cards & all of those are maxed, so I don't have any duplicate cards to combine. Now the question is, How many Wagons do I need for those?
    Answer: 87 / 5 = 17.4 ~ 18 Wagons, Where I will put 5 Cards each on 17 wagons and the other 2 Cards on 1 Wagon.
  4. On this page, you will also get the CP (Collection Power) of the eligible Cards, which will help you to calculate how many contribution you are going to get after the conflict period ends.

As you can see above, I have 285,180 CP worth of Rebellion Cards, which I will use on this Conflict airdrop round. Now the question is, How many contributions, Chances & guaranteed chances will I get if I start my Conflict journey just after the event starts?

Let's Do Some Math to find out those Answers:

  • Conflict Period: I will start at the beginning of the Conflict with 30 days (720 hours) left until it ends.
  • Conflict Contribution: I will contribute 285,180 contribution each hour for 720 hours. 285180 x 720 = 205,329,600 Contribution: Over the course of the Conflict, I will contribute 205,329,600 total.
  • Airdrop Chances: Now that we have the total amount of contribution over the course of the Conflict, we can divide the result by 100,000 to get the total contribution chances. As there are no partial chances, I would accumulate 205,329,600 / 100,000 = 2053.296 = 2053 full Chances (As there are no partial chances).
  • Guaranteed Card: For every 200 airdrop chances, 1 card is guaranteed. So 2053 / 200 = 10.265. Let's say I will get 10 Guaranteed Rage.

Mage Wagon Purchase:

As I will need 18 wagons, the cheapest way will be to use Vouchers to purchase those wagons. To purchase 18 wagons, I have to spend 18 x 50 = 900 Vouchers. At the current market price, which will be around $38.

Rage.png

TLDR;

  • 💡 Conflicts are a new airdrop mechanism for Rebellion that require staking cards & packs in Wagons to accumulate points, which are used to determine your CHANCE of getting cards at the end of the Conflict.
  • 🐲 The airdrop for the first Conflict is Rage, an absolutely badass dragon that will mercilessly cut through his enemies, leech their life from them, and train unarmed units to fight alongside him.
  • 🌟 A total of 4000 cards will be distributed. Then a second pass will be done, checking how many cards each player won. For each player that got less than their guaranteed minimum in the distribution, they will get additional cards up to the minimum.
  • 🚋 Wagons cost 50 vouchers, 10000 DEC, or 10000 credits. Wagons purchased can be used for every conflict (no need to rebuy) and will remain on your account for potential future uses even after Rebellion conflicts are over.
  • 🧌 Contribution points are based on their Collection Power (CP). Pack points are 100 per pack. Up to 5 cards AND 100 packs can be staked in one wagon. Card points accumulate on an hourly basis.
  • 🧮 100k Contribution = 1 chance. No half or partial chances will be awarded.
  • 🌟 200 chances = 1 guaranteed card. In other words, 20,000,000 points are required for 1 guaranteed card.
  • 🪙 Each airdropped card (including min guarantees) has a 2% chance of being a Gold Foil. There will be an option to spend 20 vouchers per card to double that to a 4% chance.
  • 📅 The first conflict starts next Tuesday (Jan 23) after maintenance.
  • 🔢 There will be 9 total conflicts. If you're planning on participating, best get your wagons ready for the first one and then participate in all of them!
  • 🪓 Cards staked on Wagons can still be used in battle (ranked, brawl, tournament). However they cannot be rented, sold, traded, or delegated.
  • 💨 Cards staked on Wagons also cannot be combined, however there is no cooldown when removing them. So if you need to combine a card to place it in a Wagon, simply unstake it, combine it, then re-add it.

In a world where there is so much useful and interesting information around, I don't think it's worth spending time on games.
But considering the hype around it, I suspect that it is a very interesting game!
Worthy instruction. I sincerely wish you to win!

It's not just some kind of hype; I have been in Splinterlands for the last 5 years and am still so bullish about it. So it's a really interesting game. Thanks for your comment.
