Runner-up of Ninhelm Wild Gold GF Invitational Tournament

I hope you all are doing well in your life and also enjoying the Splinterlands game. A few days ago, I posted Modern Gold League Gold foil Tournament, where I shared some of my top battles of that modern gold league gold foil tournament. Today I will discuss one of my recent tournament wins, where I become runner-up. But on top of that, I had very few chances to do well in that tournament because it was a wild gold foil tournament and I have modern gold foil collection, So, I played with modern gold foil collection in a wild gold foil tournament. The result was amazing and in favor of me.

For the first time, I become the runner-up of Ninhelm Wild Gold GF Invitational Tournament. It was the Wild Gold League Gold foil tournament and the total prize pool was around $2117 USD worth of SPS. This was the reward split for 1st - 4th place holders; that's mean all of them will get the same amount of SPS and luckily I become 2nd and grabbed 3887 SPS from this tournament. In the past few weeks, I was lucky in gold league gold foil tournaments, If you checked my blog you will see I became Modern Gold League Gold foil tournament champion back to back and this time Wild Gold League gold foil tournament runner-up. As you can see above, Byzantinist became champion with 19 wins and 2 losses, me and jaki01 both won 17 battles, lost 3 battles and 1 draw battle. But, I became 2nd because of tie-breaker points and ula.ocean won the same amount of battles, but lost 4 battles.

In the first round, there was 1 fled, 9 battles were successfully played and out of those 9 battles, I won 7 battles and lost 2 battles. Those 2 losses were against Brybro27 & Zagorlord. If you guys noticed my card collection then you guys will see I only have gold foil Modern league set and the others are regular foil cards, Thats mean my Alpha, Beta, their subset (ORB) and Reward cards of those editions are regular foil cards. But, I have gold foil collection of Untamed & Chaos and their subset (Dice, Riftwatchers). So because of that, I had less chance to do well in the wild gold foil tournament, but this luck was on my side. In the final round, Out of 11 battles I lost only 1 battle against jacekw and 1 battle was draw against Byzantinekitty. To be honest, I was really worried about those 2 battles because they have a complete wild gold foil collection. I enjoyed those battles and even watched some battles a couple of times. So let's check out some of my top battles.

This was my second battle of round 1, after losing the first battle I was pretty hopeless. I was wishing somehow to win several matches and become one of the top 32 players. But, luck changed from the 2nd battle. The battle was against BEEYOU, one of the top gold foil collection owner. So, as you guys know it was a Gold League wild match, all edition cards will be available for the battle. Starting with the ruleset, there were 3 rulesets active ( Up Close & Personal ) - Only monsters with melee attacks can be used. ( Noxious Fumes ) - All monsters are afflicted with the Poison debuff at the start of the game. ( Equal Opportunity ) - All monsters gain the Opportunity ability, it was a 51 high mana battle and fire/water/earth/dragon elements was active. Now, If you notice, you will see my opponent used level 2 SCARRED LLAMA MAGE, where she had the opportunity to use a level 3 legendary summoner. But, probably she didn't have level 3 SCARRED LLAMA MAGE legendary summoner, yet she used it because it provides +2 to all support monsters and it not only cleanses the 1st monster in team, but also gives every support monster Last Stand ability, which makes it one of the best summoner for the Noxious Fumes ruleset. But because of the low-level summoner, she was restricted to silver league-level cap and all her support monsters were low-level. From my side, I used Yodin Zaku as my summoner, my plan was offensive and that's why I chose this summoner because of Blast ability and one of my best support monster were War Chaang. It has both & attack, Yodin Zaku buff range attack & Equal Opportunity ruleset make it even more useful.

This battle was against ANGSTGEGNER from the goat gang guild and he has a complete wild gold foil collection, so winning against him needs some extra luck. It was a 99 High Mana game and no ruleset has been applied to this match. Only two element & were active and in one word,chose monsters from and chose summoner from or element. We both goes with element, my opponent used 5 mana Delwyn Dragonscale and me 7 mana Byzantine Kitty. As he used Delwyn Dragonscale, then he obviously going to set up his team with attack monsters, because it boosts friendly monster's magic damage. He also used Phantom Soldier, it is a magic attack monster and has (Silence) ability. So it's going to debuff -1 attack to all my friendly monsters. He also used two monsters, who have (Demoralize) ability, so one more debuff goes to my team. After all, it was a good monster lineup from my opponent. As a tank I used Agor Longtail, which has (Taunt) (Void Armor) & (Heal) abilities. I also used Oshuur Constantia as my support healing monster, It's (Resurrect) & (Tank Heal) ability helped Agor longtail to stay longer time on the battlefield. Another attack monster Raa helped me a lot on the battlefield, Because of its (Scattershot) , (Double Strike) & (Rust) abilities, It played finisher role in the battlefield.

This was an interesting match, this battle was against an old-time Korean top player BJI1203. It was a 21 low mana match, three rulesets were applied on the battlefield and those are (Counterspell) - All monsters receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle, ( Equal Opportunity ) - All monsters gain the Opportunity ability & ( Wands Out ) - Only monsters with magic attacks may be used. Bji chose TYRUS PALADIUM as his summoner, which is useless in battle. Because it provide +1 to all friendly monsters and if you don't have any (Void Armor) ability monster in your team, then it has no use in battle. As a tank, he used level 2 Iziar Legendary life splinter monster which have (Taunt) & (Void) ability. Then he used Divine Healer for (Tank Heal) & Doctor Blight for (Affliction) and (Poison) ability. It was a nice game to watch and learn.

It was a great tournament experience for me; As I said in the beginning for the first time I was in the top 3 wild gold league gold foil tournament and shared a big sum of SPS prize pool. I learned many new lineup tactics from those battles and even I watched others battle as well. Because in my opinion, In Splinterlands - the more you watch, the more you learn.
