Others believe that the education course is too easy; you simply talk in front of the class, complete tasks, sit, and grade the students. That each individual's assumptions are valid, yet they are unfamiliar with a teaching role yet.
As a third-year college student at Tarlac State University pursuing the Bachelor of Physical Education course, I have experienced everything that teachers experience as student teachers, including demonstrations, lectures, research, literature reviews, and other things related to the education course. I struggled with those things, but I persevered so that I could finish and have a good life in the near future.
I assumed we'd just talk about and play sports, but we learned a lot more, like how a person's body works when they play, consume food, and what factors weaken the human body. This is also where I acquired how to be physically healthy and how it will benefit me as a student.
College life is only the beginning, as you will face a variety of challenges, some of which are more severe. I no longer seek assistance from others since I am confident in my ability to complete even the most difficult academic activities. I continue to fight because I am confident in my abilities. Sometimes I feel too much pressure, but at the end of the day, I complete all assignments and duties on time.
Demonstrating in a four-corner classroom is difficult because you will be creating instructional materials that will be used in class, as well as lesson plans that must be detailed in order to know your overall objective for the class and what you should do to get through the day. There is so much to accomplish, especially since we have a regular school day, that we don't even notice the time when we are soaking in the room and listening to the lectures so that we may implement what they teach.
It is yet unclear whether we will have a special class in which we add one day of school to catch up on lessons that were not done.
I realized that I have accomplished so much that, even though it is small, I celebrate it. I don't think about how much I spent on the things that will be used in the demonstration because I know there will be many more like it. I will persist until I complete my college degree; I know it will be difficult, but I will push myself to the utmost and soon be recognized as a professional licensed teacher.
Here are my instructional materials I used during my Demo in Program Music. I just my scratch paper then print and cut. I also used some cardboard boxed so that the picture will not get easily folded and its thick.
It's time to go home! But the queue to ride a jeep is too long. It's a waiting game again. But I'm still happy since I'm with my friends whom I can talk to.
