One of the most rewarding aspects of OpenAI is seeing people level up so quickly and produce such excellent work
The organization operates at a high level across many disciplines, and many contributors had never done this kind of work before, having joined early in their careers
Belief in people combined with significant responsibility, support, and well-chosen bets on talent tends to produce upside surprises more often than expected
It would be great to see more companies adopt this approach, as everyone would likely benefit
This was also one of the most enjoyable parts of startup investing
