So while going through my homepage, I bumped into the Ecotrain QOTW contest. It's only a few hours left for submission and I didn't want to miss it so I jumped right in to answer the questions and for this season, it all centered on gratitude.

What are your favourite ways to show and receive gratitude?

Looking at this question, so many of us have different and unique answers to it.
We all have different and sometimes similar ways we express our gratitude to people and how we receive them as well.

We all know what gratitude means and even if we don't or it has escaped our minds, here let me remind you of what it actually means.

"Gratitude is simply the state of being grateful"

So if I am to answer the question, what are my favourite ways to show and receive gratitude, here is what I will say or answer.

But first, we should know that it takes really kind people to do things for us which in return we should be grateful for.
It takes a loving, gracious, and kind person like God to overlook our sins, our guilts, our infirmities, and even our negligence to still care, love, and provide for us.
Even when we don't deserve it or even work for it.
Yet everything he offers us is all for free.
That we don't even have to pay for.

So my first way of showing my gratitude to God for this priceless gift of life, provision, protection is to always render praises and worship to him. I am very conscious of this that most times I even sleep-thank God. Yes, I have this habit of thanking God as if it's the only prayer point I've got.
I am just so grateful that I know I don't even deserve all the mercy and favors I am enjoying yet God gives it all to me for free as if I worked for them.

Another way I show my gratitude if a friend does something for, either the person gifted me something, helped me with something, or offered me something. In return, I always show how much I value and treasure those things they do for me in words (mostly) cause I suck at expressing myself with actions so it's majorly in my words. I don't joke with my words cause whatever I say I mean it.

I may not have enough to repay those people or even know how to repay them but I am always so grateful for all the love and gifts they shower me with. Even their help, kindness, and more.
I think there are no better ways other than making these people know that you value and appreciate whatever it is they do for you.

As for receiving gratitude? I don't really have any favourite way. So far the person appreciates my little efforts, that is all that matters to me.
I don't like it when people take my kindness, help, or favor for granted, not that I expect anything from them but just a little bit of gratitude to show that they appreciate or values whatever act of kindness I showed to them.

It is a great motivation to people when they are appreciated for the little things they do.
Little wonder why people say that if you are thankful for the little things people do for you today, they do more for you next time.

It sparks hope and motivation. It gives people the right vibes to do more for you because you were grateful for the little ones they did before and you showed them you were.

I answered this question in my own little way and I hope that I am not so late for my entry or submission, either way, I am glad I did anyway.

Thank you to every one of you that usually stops by to engage my post and blog. Thanks for your time, your upvote, and of course those encouraging comments and feedback.
