Wet Market Day
Good Day Hivers!
There is a thypoon coming, so it is cloudy and a little rainy here in our area. How is it in your place? Even though it was cloudy , I still walked going to wet market. Because walking is exercise too and good for our health. But at first one ride from home and then I got off at the tricycle terminal and walked to the wet market. When I went to the market once or twice a week. Sometimes only one because there is a small store of fish and vegetable opposite our house. But of course it is different in the market because it is fresh and you can see a cheaper price.

Walking exercise.

I ordered a pizza first request by my son and came back after shopping. I chose Hawaiian flavor for the price of 100 pesos.

And I went straight to the fish market. Nemipterus(bisugo in Tagalog word), the pink one. I am not sure what kind of fish the big one is. I did not ask the seller hehe.

Many kinds of fish can be bought here. The prices are expensive.

There is tuna and yellowtail fusilier(dalagang bukid).

Seafoods like shrimp, squid and mussels.

Seaweeds that is delicious with anchovies and tomatoes.

I bought coconut milk because I am going to cook tuna with coconut milk.

A lot of fresh vegetables. Cabbage, cucumber, sweet potato, potatoes, corn and okra. There is cooking ingredients like garlic, tomato and ginger. The ones wrapped in plastic are mixed vegetables that have been chopped. It is only 25 pesos, cheap price.

I bought bok choy to mix with the fish I was going to cook.

I like radish in fish sour porridge. There is chayote, eggplant, carrots, bitter gourd, taro and bell pepper.

I bought some delicacies for snack to eat.

I went to the pizza place to pick up what I bought.

I walked to the pedicab(bicycle with side car) terminal to go home.

My son's favorite flavor, Hawaiian.

So delicious and cheesy.

Cassava cake and the other one Pinoy delicacy.

Tuna and nemipterus, fish that I bought. There are only few of us at home so that is all I bought.

After I arranged what I bought, I cooked dinner for my family. This is the tuna with coconut milk and bok choy. I added chilli to make it spicy.
These are the things I bought:
Hawaiian pizza - Php 100
Tuna - Php 100
Nemipterus - Php 100
Bokchoy - Php 15
Coconut milk - Php 20
Sweet delicacies - Php 25
Total = Php 360
Sometimes in a hurry I bought some items that I did not take a picture of, and I also forget hehe. I did not buy any other ingredients because I still have some here at home. It is hard to budget money, especially now the prices are high. I go to the store where the goods are cheap. When I am going to buy, I tell the seller that the price should be in Php 100 like fish to budget the money. I make a list of what I am going to buy before I leave so I don't forget.
That's all for my wet market day. Thank you #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle. God bless us all!

#MarketFriday loves you!
Okay. Thank you.
The big fish in the photo looks like a mungit fish, I think. There is an abundance in fish there! You said they were expensive, that is too bad. Fish is one of the things that the Philippines has much of. I would hope they would price it a little lower so that people can afford it.
How expensive are their veggies? I can see the bok choy is relatively inexpensive. I can see you did a successful shopping on this day at the wet market. A lovely day you had. Thank you for taking us with you!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
Maybe because of the expensive gasoline for transportation, to load the products to the market.
Ah it's mungit fish okay.
Thank yo so much for visiting. Have a lovely day.
I never thought of the gas! You are probably right!
