Male Ocean Healer // Fanart
Hello friends of Holozing Community!
I'm pleased to share my first male character ever, lol.
Anyone following my art series for a while now would notice that I mostly sketch the female character.
I am not a huge lover of male characters so I usually run from it lol.
I just believe being a female, I am more aware of the female body and proportions compared to the male counterpart.
But in the long run, I knew I just had to try something different and this is my something different, sketching the male character.
I did use some references to study the proportion although along the line I almost gave my male character a female outlook 🤣🥺
This fanart took longer than I expected and sad news is that I suddenly fell sick yesterday and couldn't complete my art. I took medication last night and woke up better, so I decided to complete my art.
So for today's fanart, I made the male ocean healer
I was indecisive about his hair (texture and colour), and I changed quite a few patterns and styles before I settled for this.
Let's see how I achieved this with my steps, enough of my pep talks 😼😛
Work Process
I must say, the outcome was more than I expected for a first time sketching the male character, and with that, I could practice more of the male proportion until I got used to it.
For now, I'll stick to my female characters lol.
Hopefully, I recuperate sooner enough to get back in here 🥺
