As students, we were disappointed cause we were anticipating this trip, a few days later, we were called for another meeting and orientation concerning the trip and why we couldn't leave for it the first time.
Again, we were disappointed and angry the second time this happened, we even gave up hopes of embarking on that journey, some people lost interest in joining in the long run, though they would still make a report to be submitted to the school for assessment

But thankfully, after the first two weeks of disappointment, sad news and constant postponement because of one reason or the other, we were finally set to leave on the third week.
We all packed our bags and went to school, the meeting place for the departure, we said our prayers and committed our ways to God and after that, another sad news was broken to us again, this time we were told the Vice Chancellor didn't approve of the outside state movement, saying this period is quite chaotic and for the student's safety that the trip should be down within the state in a different location, villages and places.
This was quite disheartening if you were to interview any student that day embarking on that journey but we had no other option than to take everything as it was thrown at us.

The first day we arrived at our first location, we were lectured about the species and everything we needed to know about that place and later went ahead to lodge in a hotel in a different place. All the students were paired in groups and given different rooms to stay, and we were about a hundred students.
We had crazy fun while learning, the daily routine was exciting and we always looked forward to it.
We kept visiting different locations to learn more about the things the lecturers had in store for us.
Every day was educating, adventurous, and exciting and we were always looking forward to the next.

I must say that I miss those moments, the coming together of different departments and colleagues we've not really spoken to one one-on-one before.
And if we had our way, we wouldn't have wanted to return anytime soon.
I am excited to share these memories and leave them out here too.
The places we visited included; Ikot Abasi, Eket, Nsit Ubium, Oron, Imo river, Uyo
Thankfully, we all returned safe and sound to the glory of God.
It was a successful field trip and we were well taken care of while at it.
