TheInkWell Writing Challenge ~ MONEY Is Not Everything

Excuse Me! Watch your way you son of a...Miss Claire shorten her speech when she turned and realized who bumped into her. The accident wasn’t entirely the person's fault but Claire had already flared up and shouted at the top of her voice.
Mister Dave sincerely apologized for his mistake, he acted calmly and told Claire he was sorry for bumping into her.

That’s Okay, I am glad you admitted your mistake Claire responded. So impolite, Dave thought but he couldn’t help but walk past her after tendering his apology.

Could you believe that guy? Bumping into me, no respect at all. Claire kept reflecting on the incident but she still didn’t find faults on her part, she placed all the blame on Dave. Her Personal Assistant said nothing to her as he already knows the type of lady she was and of course, according to her, he had no audacity to say anything to her even if he wanted to.

Claire is a young lady in her early twenty. She has been a spoilt brat from birth. Her parents live overseas as such leaving the young girl to lavish their wealth and lacking manners and home training. She has been taken care of and looked after since birth. He lacked nothing being that she was born with not just a silver spoon, I will call it a golden spoon in her mouth.
She was rude, arrogant, and pompous, what do you expect from a rich spoilt girl?

The day she bumped into Dave, she went shopping, she was fighting with her bag that she wasn’t looking ahead, this was what led to the accident but she never accepted it was partly her fault as she wasn’t watching her way either.
Young Dave of about 25 years of age was also rushing somewhere in order to meet up with his business proposal. He was gentle enough to realize and accept his fault and also apologize to Miss arrogant Claire.

Claire’s dad has been working so hard overseas trying to secure a partnership with a renounce company. He works day and night with his subordinates to make sure they execute that plan.
Mr. Desmond, called her daughter to inform her about his flight back home for a business meeting. He told her that she will be attending the business with him
But dad…..Claire cut in, I know nothing about the company or anything related to the business. Don’t worry my darling you will do just fine, you will do your best and leave the rest for me. I want you to represent me well in that meeting.

Three days later, Claire’s dad returned from the states for the business meeting, his daughter had already dressed up that morning to follow her dad to the meeting.
On arrival, they were welcomed and they both sat down with their secretary. When it was time for self-introductions for the meeting to start.
Claire rose to introduce herself to their business partners. While she was doing that, a handsome young guy raised his head to know who was speaking. He was flabbergasted by what he saw. Miss arrogant, at least that’s the first impression Claire gave him.
He smiled and continued with what kept him busy before the short moment of introduction.
When Claire was done speaking, it was time for Dave to also introduce himself.
Majestically, he stood up and said his name and introduced himself as the son of the owner of the company Claire’s dad was trying to partner with.

Claire immediately recognized the face. She was dumbfounded that she didn’t know where to hide her face. Still, since she was brought up to be very arrogant, she didn’t mind though she started feeling uncomfortable but she couldn’t help.
The meeting came to a close and the proposal was made, everything was finalized and it was time to give a handshake of friendship and partnership.
Everyone exchanged handshakes. When it was time for Dave to shake Claire, He smiled and looked into her eyes and said MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING.

The few words alone became a turning point for young arrogant Claire.
