Dream of me My Beloved: A bittersweet Romance story [ENG/ESP]

I'm not sure how long I was staring at the ceiling, but it didn't take me long to figure out that this wasn't a dream. And even though I could still feel my heart pounding in my chest and my hands were shaking, I found myself smiling as I thought about what a great time we'd had together.

It's hard to describe just how much I missed him when he left me behind. It felt like something had been taken away from me—something important. And while I wanted nothing more than to be with him again, it was nice to have some time alone. This way, I knew that whatever happened next would happen because of me. Not because I needed his help or approval.

I decided to go back downstairs after only half an hour. The longer I stayed up there, the harder it would be for me to leave. I couldn't imagine ever being able to sleep without seeing his face. So I went down to our kitchen, where I made tea and started thinking about what else I should pack.

But before I got far into packing, I heard someone call my name. "Sophie," a voice said from outside.
I turned around slowly, looking over my shoulder toward the door. There was no one there.

My eyes fell on the table, where the candle was sitting on its side:

"Goodnight, Sophie," the voice whispered again.

The voice sounded like it was coming from upstairs. But I couldn't tell if it was really him or if I was imagining things...

When I finally finished packing, I put everything away in the bag and set it by the front door. Then I walked back up to my room, grabbed the note and some couple things, then drove off.

It took almost two hours to drive to Minneapolis all the way from Rapid city, but I finally reached home. Exhausted from all the packing and driving, I immediately went straight to bed.

While in bed, my thoughts went out to him again. By this time, I had already been way too tired from all the crying and grieving I had been doing for the past 6 days; and so, as my thoughts lingered onto him... I found all I could really do was shed a few drops of silent tears as I softly cried myself to sleep. Then, I had the dream...

In the dream, I was walking through the woods when I saw him. He looked exactly like he did when we first met. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans, and he was carrying a backpack. He wore that same soft smile he had always had when I'd see him, and I could barely believe it when I walked right up to him, and he opened his arms. I threw myself into them and he held me tight as I buried my head into the crook of his neck.

"You're back!" I sobbed. "You've come back to me!"

He hugged me tightly, stroking my hair gently. "I'll always be back for you my love. Always..."

"Uh... I missed you so much!." I cried with my face tucked tightly against his shirt.

"I know... I missed you too" he spoke softly while I continued crying.

Soon, I leaned back and gave him a huge kiss on the lip, feeling a sense of overwhelmingness and joy. Steadily, he caressed my hair.

"How are ya honey? Was the packing any fun?" he said with a slight smirk on his face.

"Ah... It was you!" I exclaimed in surprise. "You were there! It was your voice!"

"Ha, yeah..." he chuckled in his breath. "I'll never be too far away from you babe" he said as he smiled and stared at me with those hazel green eyes of his. Accordingly, I did the same, then we hugged each other again - this time more tightly.

We stood like that for awhile until our tears dried up. After pulling away, he smiled at me, then kissed my forehead. "Get some rest now," he said softly. "I... I..." I stammered.

"Hush..." he implored. "Not another word. You've been through too much already Claire. Now is the time to rest"

"I.. I can't rest without you" I said with heavy tears forming in my eyes. "I just can't... I love you. Please, let me stay here with you!"

"Don't worry my love, we'll be together soon again, I promised." he spoke lowly with a broad smile on his face. "Just rest for now..."

Suddenly, the dream started to collapse and he slowly began fading away.

"Jerry! No, No.... please! Don't go! Don't leave me" I screamed.

"I'll be watching over you, my love would be never to far away. Farewell for now my love, my dream..." he whispered.

Immediately, my body jolted awake, sweating profusely and breathing heavily. For several moments, I didn't know where I was until I finally realized it was the middle of the night. When I calmed down enough, I realized it was a dream and that it was my late husband who visited me in the dream to say his goodbyes one last time.

Quickly, I got out my dream journal and jotted down fragments of what I could remember from the dream. Cheerfully and then sadly, I shedded bittersweet tears as I scribbled down the final words he said to me in that dream.

No había nadie.

"¡Has vuelto!" sollozaba. "¡Has vuelto a mí!"

Me abrazó con fuerza, acariciando mi pelo con suavidad. "Siempre volveré por ti mi amor. Siempre..."

"Eh... ¡te he echado tanto de menos!".

"YO... YO..."

"Simplemente no puedo...

"¡Jerry! ¡No, No.... por favor! ¡No te vayas! No me dejes" grité.

¡Salud!
