THE GIRL FROM MY LUCID DREAMS- ACT III

I watched in horror and disbelief as these hands scraped harshly at my door almost as if trying to escape from their prisons to reach out for my very being. In all my life, I have never felt such fear before. Such dreadful fear. My God!...I felt as if I should scream or die!!! And then... just then after nearly breaking down. I fainted and dropped to the floor.

What I recall happening next was me lying face up on my bed. I was awake but not awake. All I could really feel was a huge pressure on my body that hindered my movement. Immediately I panicked for I knew this feeling all to well. It was sleep paralysis! Oh... how dreadfully nervous I was to be in this situation again. I had previously experienced sleep paralysis as a kid but this time it was different: I could see my surroundings and could make out that I was in my room. Quite honestly, I wasn't entirely sure if my eyes were open or not but I could still see.

While still in this uncomfortably ominous state, I started to hear strange sounds. Sounds like whispering around my bed and just moments later, I saw something very bizarre - It was a black figure standing just by my door.

I became nervous again and started to panic. The overwhelming fear of what stood before me combined with the uncomfortable pressure I felt on my body made it difficult for me to breathe. However, I tried to control myself and assumed this was all some sort of Sleep paralysis hallucination. Alas, that notion fell flat and my panicking peaked like never before when this figure started moving slowly towards my bed. The closer, and closer it got, the more afraid I became.

Soon the figure stood motionless right in view and glared directly at me with its demonic fiery eyes. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was the sleep paralysis or the sheer sight of the creature that actually paralyzed me but needless to say, I was frightened. I couldn't say anything, move, or even scream. All I could do was just stare at this creature standing in my room.

Then after about 5 minutes of complete despair, I struggled to move my toes and that was it.... I was instantly out of the sleep paralysis! I woke up around 6:30 am sweating, gasping, and crying like never before. It was truly a terrifying experience.

I remember spending the rest of that day in complete solitude. I felt unease the entire day so much so that my family members became worried about me. Frankly, i didn't want to tell them any of what was happening to me, mostly due to the fact that I was afraid of what they will think. I feared they would either laugh at the whole experience and regard it as some type of comical fiction of my imagination; or at the very least, they may decide to take me to a church with the notion that I have been possessed by a demon or something. Truth be told, I did question if the latter was in fact the case.

Nighttime had come and I started feeling very nervous again. I was so scared and worried of what might become of me if I slept tonight. I even feared for my own life. The last few days had been very tough for me. Having all these consistent lucid nightmares were just so overwhelming and mentally draining. I was fed up and couldn't take it anymore! I just couldn't.... And so, I made up my mind that I just wouldn't sleep that night.

Hours had passed that night and I started feeling weary. The fatigue became so unbearable that I had to sit on the sofa, drink a whole jug of coffee, and watch series upon series of cartoons, just so I could keep myself from sleeping. Alas, once it clocked around 3:45am, I fell to slumber....

I felt that same feeling of waking up but this time I found myself in a very dark and silent room. Suddenly, a door started opening right in front of me.

Immediately, I started to panic! I became very scared of who or what may come through. But slowly, i started to make out what looked like a female figure standing by the door.

The figure came closer and closer towards me until I could finally make out who it was. "It's you!..." I said in a low voice. "Are you the one doing all of this?? Please live me alone! What do you want from me?" I said in despair. "So much... she said". "Your dreams seems to have been disrupting our meeting. I believe we haven't properly met. My name is Zi" she said politely as my face turned from a look of despair to disbelief.

"What are you talking about?" I exclaimed. "How do you know this is a dream? You're not real! This is all an illusion! My mind is just making this up!..." I remarked still in disbelief. But the girl just stared at me again as she would often do, although this time she was smiling. "Perhaps... however, I would like you to meet someone".

The next thing that happened not only left me in awe but terrified me a little. Yes... i felt this way when my Late Aunt walked through the open door and approached me.

I was just as shocked as i was perplexed by what just happened. "Aunt Christy? How?... how is this possible? Aren't you?..." I proclaimed. "Dead?" she caught in. "Yes. But I like to think that i have been liberated. Don't worry, you'll find out what I mean soon enough." she said with a calming voice. "Come with me. I want to show you something..." she urged me as she gestured towards the open door.

This was FASCINATING!!!! You're a great writer - now... is this fiction? or real? or both???

Some of the best fiction is the stuff that we're able to spin from the real life tales that happens to us! hehehe But it sounds like this might be fully real? Love to hear more about it!

I was going to share this with DreemPort and the curators there (you can ask @chincoculbert about that project if you like.. hehehe or -me! LOL) But I noticed that you're using images that are copyrighted.

you most likely did NOT know that was prohibited.. hehehe a lot of people grab images from the internet thinking that we can use anything that is there. But... no. We can't :)

UNLESS of course you have purchased that image from istock photo... THEN of course you can use it!!!

But if not - you have to be very careful. Please allow me to explain! :) You have a blog that is creating money for you! yay! hehehe But you're never allowed to make money on a blog that is using someone else's copyrighted work. Images from istock photo (or other places) are for sale, so that the photographer can make a living from their craft.

But there are places like pexels.com, pixabay.com or unsplash.com (some of my favorites) that not only produce AMAZING professional photos - but they are ALSO cc0 licensed images - meaning YOU are able to use them without attribution!

Now, we still like to give attribution to the photographer. It's kinda like a thank you for them allowing us to use their images! and helping them to get more eyes on their work!

so just to give you some examples... I just looked on pixabay for an image similar to the open door one.

here it is (but of course there are many more for you to choose from! hehe)

Image source from Pexels by lalesh aldarwish

and then maybe something like this for the person in the doorway

image.png

Image by Ammar Sabaa on Unsplash

so you can see how I've given attribution that way - you can do it any way you like! hehehe

Also - just be careful because they DO have ads on those sites. Always be sure that you're choosing the images that are ON the sites - and NOT the ads that take you BACK to places like stockphoto, or istock... or the like!
hehehehe

I would LOVE to share this post with DreemPort today for curation tomorrow! If you update your images to free images - please tag me and I'll be sure to share your work with the DreemPort curators :) I'll also come back and upvote after the images have been changed. hehehe I can't support this post with my vote until the images have been corrected ❤️

Great writing!!! You have a wonderful way of holding the reader spellbound!!! 🤗

That's how wonderful she is and pays attention to detail. You should surely take her advice and ensure you start using free images or your original images from now on, really saves you a lot of stress and safeguards you from downvotes.

oops @zeraton!

I made a mistake when I was trying to go fast today hehehe

When you are linking to the image - make sure the image is the one that shows the author on the site.

so this one..

https://www.pexels.com/photo/steel-door-handle-on-door-147634/

not this one...

https://images.pexels.com/photos/147634/pexels-photo-147634.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&h=750&w=1260

see when you go to one - its just an image on a black screen.

when you go to the other - its the image that shows Pexels site and shows the name of the author.

Would you update those to go to the images on the site with the author's name? hehehehe

(sorry about that! it was my mistake when I showed you the first image hahahaha - let me update that RIGHT now in the comment!!)

thank you @zeraton !!!!

Hello again @dreemsteem

It's always a pleasure. Firstly, I would like to say a warm THANK YOU for your very detailed advice and suggestions. Like you mentioned, I was initially not aware of all these regulations hence, the unproper use of imagery in the post. Moreover, i really appreciate you taking your time to clear this up in a very detailed way. You have my sincere gratitude.

I have taken note of all your suggestions and have edited the pictures in what I hope is satisfactory enough. I also really appreciate your consideration for sharing my post on Dreemport. I am not exactly sure what it's all about but it sounds very interesting. And Yes!... I would like to know more about it.

Now, about the post.... Believe it or not, the entire experience as you have read it, is completely real. Although because I experienced these lucid dreams quite a while ago, the words I use in these experiences (that is the ones that involve communication with dream characters) are not entirely exact. That's about the only thing made up I guess😅. You know sometimes, I find it hard to believe myself that I actually had such experiences! The final lucid experience in fact, was probably the most bizarre of all of them. Till this very day, i am not entirely sure why I had all those experiences. Regardless, I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

I honestly don't know if I'm that good of a writer but... I try😅

Thanks a lot for the compliments and really everything though. I appreciate it a lot!

oh - yes I believe it.

I've had lucid dreams about 2-3 times in my life - but i have NEVER had sleep paralysis.

my brother in law has - and it is TERRIFYING and JUST as you described. Many people explain in the same way, and I never ever want to experience it hahahahaha

I will be SURE to tell you more about DreemPort!

and just to start - let me send this to you??
I'll be back to explain MORE!! for sure - but just to show you a bit... let me show you this! hehehehe

How to use DreemPort

I'll leave a message for you here tonight when I finish up my day (in about 8 hours hehehe) and then you can probably read it when you wake tomorrow!

but I'll go ahead and add this post to DreemPort today - and you might get some people commenting from there tomorrow! hehehehehe

It will all make more sense soon hehehehe

Ahh... so you can relate a little then. And oh yeah... sleep paralysis is quite terrifying!

I just read the post. It's very well detailed. I think I have a little idea of what DreemPort is all about now. All that's left is for me to register on the site now.
Again, Thanks for everything and have a great day!

Wowser, this had been on the edge of my seat...you build tension well...the way you wrote it felt too real...then I saw your conversation with @dreemsteem ... that made sense then. Gosh, this is interesting. I have had a couple of lucid dreams in my life... so very real and I could manipulate them too ...at will...and then one day...they just stopped happening. I was quite disappointed. One of mine was scary... one was nice. Being in control and knowing I was dreaming whilst still experiencing the dream as a reality was pretty damn crazy. I think having a lucid dream combined with sleep paralysis must be very frightening and disturbing though. I have never experienced that! Lucid Dreams... I'd love to have them again.

That's really crazy and tiring too. I have felt it many times and literally after having such dreams I feel so tired.

Oh you to have had Lucid dreams before huh?
I know how you feel... it's quite insane to be in that state of awareness in the dream. It's fascinating. Lucid nightmares on the other hand, not as fun. I mean can you imagine having a regular nightmare and it turns lucid?... Ha! That would be gruesome.

Interestingly enough, I haven't had any lucid dreams since those last 4 experiences. But I still seem to be having sleep paralysis anyway - minus the scary creature.

In all, thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I had goosebumps reading this. I had several experiences of dreams when I felt helpless and motionless. I tried hard to get me out of the situation and became victim of the intruder. But that dreams were related to my real life problems and fears.

I wonder if these dreams of you had no meaning attached to real life. Perhaps you have something in your unconscious that has been revealing in dreams. Or may be, there is something from heavens (as our faiths direct us to)

A very warm welcome to you @zeraton on @dreemport. We are very excited to have such a wonderful writer with us. Keep sharing your content with us on dreemport.

My... that sounds like quite the nightmare.

You are right though. Dreams are mostly just a reflection of what we bare in our subconscious. I'm not sure if these lucid experiences were related to that or if it was in fact, a calling from the heavens 😌like you said but regardless, it happened.

Thank you very much for the welcome and hope to see more of you....

Woww... This is it!

It's been a while since I read something fictional. This particular one is spot on and I'm glad that it was submitted to @dreemport.

Now you have the tough job of proving beyond reasonable doubt that this is just an outcome of your imagination.

Heheh.... Why?

Because it's so real.

That's actually the idea behind lucid dreams. They look so real and makes it hard to differentiate reality from imagination.

Nice one @zeraton

The experience I shared is real by the way but I guess if you consider lucid dreams complete imagination, then you can call it a fiction.

However, I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. It means a lot. I'm glad it was submitted to dreemport to!

I'm very glad you liked this experience. Oh and it's good to know that someone actually read the other ACTS.

Also, it was my Late Aunt not the lucid dream girl's.

Mehn! This is interestingly scary.
I had my first sleep paralysis two years ago and I had a few disturbing moments last year, where i felt like my body was separated from my soul.
My soul was flying above my body and i tried so hard to bring my soul back.

At that point, my sense organ, especially my hearing was heighten, i could hear sounds from very far away. I could see people with the eye of my soul.

It was scary, but after some minutes of this scary moment, my soul came back and i came back to the physical world.

I didn't know it wasn't physical until i woke up physically

I believe my soul just wanted a lone time away from my body haha.

Only one that have experience this sort of a thing can really understand

One thing i would advice is to have good rest to avoid things like this

My God!... you actually had a Soul travel experience! That's phenomenal my friend.

I've experienced something familiar to that and i think i can relate. No need to think you're talking nonsense, just incase you think so. For there are numerous people out there whom have had familiar experiences just like yours. You are not alone.

You know... it's experiences like yours that shows just how much more there is to explore in this world. There's so much more to this matter world that goes far beyond our imagination. Both in the physical and the worlds beyond!

Thanks for sharing buddy! And I'm glad you liked the lucid dream experience.

Wonderful! I can submit them when you update your image sources hehehe

they aren't taking me to the site - but rather downloading the image to my computer lol

remember to use the URL of the image that is on the actual site with the author's name.

If you need help, just let me know! :)

also - it's past submission time for tomorrow's pool - and tomorrow is our special challenge with the Ink Well. so everyone is doing a post to submit tomorrow from their prompt here.

IF (and only if hehe) you'd like to join the challenge - here is the post info!

Prompt from Ink Well

If you'd like to join - you can write that post tomorrow hehehehe and then I'll enter yours into DreemPort tomorrow for the challenge! Maybe you'll get one of the top 5 again hehehehe

Just let me know if you need help with image sourcing :)

Oh I didn't know you were suppose to source images like that. It was a friend that told me to be sourcing my images with their download link. I guess it was not very good advice then. Sourcing with the authors name kinda makes more sense.

Anyway, I've updated the sources. Hopefully I did it right....

And yeah! I am quite interested in the challenge. I'll check it out!
