Hello hivers ❤️❤️

In my continuous exploration of hive and everything that makes it unique and ever growing I keep stumbling upon one new thing or the other every day. Though am just few months into hive, I have discovered so many interesting post, people and communities also.

Precisely a week ago today I saw a post titled marked Friday and I got to realise it's a community on its own with very interesting blogs about several market from around the world and I today decided to make my own very little contribution to the #marketFriday initiative by @dswigle

In all honesty, it was not part of my plan on this certain day to visit this particular ram market as I basically don't have any transaction to carry out there. I went to the bank to get a new ATM card but I was frustrated by the large number of people qeuing at the bank waiting for one service or the other to be rendered. Well the large crowd is totally due to the present covid19 pandemic situation in the country and also the upcoming Id El Kabir celebration. After a few hours of waiting on the queue, I got frustrated and decided to go back home.

I was on my way home when I took a sight of this ram market just very accessible beside the road and I decided to make a stop and have a look around.

Immediately I got close to the market, several individuals, mostly women and very young boys approached me thinking I came to buy ram feed for my none existing ram😁

As I declined politely and moved inside the market, some other set started coming by. This time individuals selling ram approached me trying to lure a potential customer to themselves with every sweet word they could get. At some point I thought to myself, wow this sweet words can basically be used to ask a lady out😂😂.

Mostly in a ram market here in Nigeria it is dominated by the hausa/fulani tribe in the country as animals especially ram is what they grow and nurture. Growing up among them, I can speak thier language fluently and I decided to have a little conversation with one or two of them

From my little conversation though, one thing kept coming up which was the particular low sale this year due to the present economic situation in the country and around the world.

All in all, I had a great time in the market and it all made me forget the fact that I missed out on collecting my 🏧 card from the bank.

This was a great opportunity to show off the culture you are surrounded by. It's true, I have been seeing a lot of goats, cows, and even camels this week, depending on where you live in the world for the sacrifice or the feast.

I am so glad that you took this time and it worked well to participate in the challenge! It is not often that I get to see this kind of thing and it is not something that I hear much about, so I am always grateful to share cultures and show you a little bit of mine and share a little of yours!

Thank you. This was great for your first post! This was a wonderful post and you made is so well! Thank you so much. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! You have shown me so much about your different cultures. I love reading through all of these for that very reason! There are so many challenges here on Hive and it warms my heart to see that you chose to be a part of this one. It is people such as yourself that made it into such a successful challenge! It takes a lot of effort and thoughts to put together a post for the #MarketFriday challenge. I know this first-hand and so, again, it is appreciated. Thank you again for being a part of all this!
