Oh, that Deranged "D"

avatar

IMGP7300.jpg

Hey, folks! Just think of it, I have the photo of D but can't guess the word, lol.

So... that doesn't count. But @barbara-orenya has started new hunt again, and we rushed throughout our photo archives like hounds snooping around for everything that starts from D.

And from what I can tell, I have gained some skill in this, as now I do not think where to find 6 entries, but how to pick up only 6. Also, someone has to warn you, my trophies are a bit deranged, but after all, no one was injured. I hope you will enjoy my selection. Let's go girls!

Damage

IMGP0289.JPG

Well, it happens sometimes. Combination of circumstances or bad luck. But I have no reason to grumble about bad luck, because I was in another truck. Our group went to the Carpathian peak, and we rented 2 trucks to drive some part of the way up. There are only 2 models (or near that) in Ukraine that can make it, this is one of them. I still remember the level of adrenaline when it climbed up over boulders, I know I can't be objective but it feels like 45° to the horizon 😬🥶🥵😱. It's okay, I had the courage to repeat it later again ☺

IMGP0266.JPG

Our truck was in the back, and I decided to stand up and take photos of how we're crossing the creek. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the first truck is tipping to the right... and fell down on its side. Happily, no one broke bones, except one guy who was really drunk.

Descent

IMGP0805.JPG

On the second day, a second peak was in the plans, but only 8 brave guys agreed to go. This is our descent. When we got down to our "camp" we felt like heroes.

Death

IMGP6870.jpg

... as a consequence of a damage... Oh no, no! Just a cool statue. In this shot, the Grim Reaper statue sits at the foot of sarcophagus of Queen Sofia Charlotte in Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom). Sophia Charlotte of Hanover (30 October 1668 – 1 February 1705) was the first Queen consort in Prussia as the wife of King Frederick I (wiki).

Darkness

IMGP68242.jpg

It was a memorable day. We made a little recon through woods to the river, found a lot of interesting. We were driving and walking and taking photos, then we made a stop to relax and have some meal. I got involved with taking photos, as the place was picturesque indeed. I was captured by a great river and a sunset, so when we set off toward home it was complete darkness. Our driving down the forest trail was very slow, when I saw a big beautiful moon above trees. Nick stopped the car, I grabbed the camera and tripod and went to find a locatiin for a photo. There was a swamp behind the trees covered with fog. In the night it looked stunning. But it was so dark that the lens could hardly get focused. In fact it was blind photographing 😄😄

Doodle_Dividers_19small.png

Dawn

IMGP8191.jpg

Happily, dawn ways comes after the darkness. Isn't it exciting to meet a dawn in the air? 💛🧡 I took this photo when flying in a baloon in Cappadocia. The high mountain peak in a distance is an ancient volcano, one of three creators of Cappadocia's fancy landscale.

Doodle_Dividers_19small.png

David

IMGP3210.jpg

No doubts, you know at a glance this masterpiece of Michelangelo. You can enjoy viewing this 17 ft marble statue in Galleria dell'Accademia, Florence, Italy. David by Michelangelo is the most famous statue of Biblical figure David, king of Israel. It was concidered a benchmark of men beauty in Renaissance epoch.

And a bonus photo coz, as you can see, he's just too handsome.

And that's all folks for today. Have a wonderful day and a nice weekend!

Good morning, dear @zirochka 🙂

Well, I can't see no dandelion in your post and all the other D's you are posting are very original and unique too ... that's great, although I do really miss a dandelion photo, because I am sure you have one 😁

While I was looking at your cool photos and reading the story behind I made mental notes to each of the six treasures you have found, but at first I have a little complain about this sentence 😭:

Let's go girls!

I love it to watch such drivers on TV which climb over rocks in their cars. They drive up steep hills and climb over rocks what even would be difficult to do on foot, but they do it sitting in a car - just incredible :)

I love to be high up in a mountain and see the descent and the valley far down, but I don't like to go down again ... down and back to the civilization where the hectic stress is at home, but I always keep some of the calm peace in my mind, that I have found up there, and it helps me for quite a while until I have to go again ;)

We live to die, and this statue is cool - his facial expression looks to me as if he even would feel sorry about his work.

The blind photographer who makes such amazing photos.

I want to do that now - hot air ballooning is one of the most soothing experiences I have ever made. You were riding into the dawn ... beautiful 🤗

Michelangelo was a clairvoyant, because even then he knew what hundreds of years later I would look like ... well, how I would like to look.

What a great post and I do love the hot air balloon photo most,
have a wonderful Sunday, dear @zirochka 😄

The best ever comment to my post 🥰🥰🥰
The moreover after ... those "girls" 😄😆😆

Yes I have some number of dandelions. And I didn't put it here, and this is all your fault! Because your dandelion was so good that my dandelions cried in a chorus begging to not show them. So I had no choice but to be smart and creatuve to find something deranged and not embarass myself ☺😇

I so very much aplreciate your comment, although I answer late to it but it do made my day 🎈🎉

Haha, you're very welcome, dear @zirochka 🙂

Yesterday evening I had some spare time and so my comments have been a bit different from the usual ones ;) lol

My fault? Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't want to make your dandelions cry - please tell them my apologies.

It's never too late for nice words - have a nice evening and a hopefully great week ahead 🙂

... and of course I have one more !BEER for you to fill up your fridge ;)

Your right, never too late for nice words. I conveyed your apoligise to my dandelions, and they will have a nice week too ☺

Glad to hear you had a while for yourself. It may mean that you had a good rest and your next week will be very good!
Cheers 🙃😉

That's good that they accepted my apology, because I hate to see sad flowers.

I am pretty sure that this week will be very busy in the office, but that means it will go very fast ;)
I only hope that I'll have some time for the Hive inbetween ;) lol

Cheers and !BEER

Marvelous shots. I like the photo of the moon, because it looks more like a big star.

It is an effect made by lens. I yet don't know how to shoot moon so that it will look like a moon 😆

Thank you and have a great day!
