One of those days. Sunset in Mardin

I am home alone. Again. Badly need a hug, but I'm alone. Urgent surgery for hubby, mom's health issues, searches for new job, this wave sank me. What do I do? You know, sometimes I cook 🙂 Yeah, it's relaxing. But not today. What else? Please, don't laugh. Series about murders, autopsy and such, they calm me down, LOL. I donna why.

Allright, but also, like a normal people, sometimes I love to dive into nice memories.

It became a popular filming location, and not only in Turkey, but for Hollywood also. No wonder, it's charm is like a spell...

I edited some of hundreds of pictured taken during just one day spent there, and I share them with you today. They are so many (and all great!) that I think I'll sort them by themes and make a series.

This is at Emir Hamami. I had a little crush on taking pictures there. Oh, this boundless Mesopotamian plains stretched to Syria, and always in light myst.

And when I realized it's getting dark it was too late! Because I was going to watch a sunset from Zinciriye Medresesi.

So, I ascending in a hurry, although my feet were really tired.

Zinciriye (or Sultan Isa) Medresesi is located at the foot of the fortress, which crowns the hill.

The madrasah (medresesi, a school), like most of the other old buildings in Mardin, was built from local honey-colored limestone. The ease of processing of the latter made it possible to decorate the building with magnificent patterns, which have survived well to our time.

It's a favorite photo location for all visitors.

Then, I saw another viewing point. A roof terrace, actually, just a flat roof of local bar. No fense, no borders, just a few big cushions. And endless green-blue plain below and all around, that's running up into skies through burning air strip.

It's almost dark now.

Almost for eyes, but not for my Sony 6400. It decided that there's not enough of light to work. Or it was the way to let me know when it's time to stop ☺

But I still can take shots on my smartphone, LOL. Okay, the last one for today.
