It's the perfect winter weather outside. Classic winter. Light frost and a little snow. With snow, everything around looks nicer and more attractive. But still it's monochrome :) I'm recalling most colorful month of the year. Yes, it's October.

На вулиці ідеальна зимова погода. Класична зима. Легкий мороз і невеличкий сніжок. Зі снігом усе навколо виглядає веселіше і привабливіше. Але все ж це монохром :) Захотілось згадати найкольоровіший місяц у році. Так, це жовтень.

Dendrological Park Trostianets / Тростянецький дендропарк

This is a very cool place, a popular site for domestic tourism, for weekend trips. It's a shame to admit it, but I only visited it recently, in 2021. And I do enjoyed my visit despite a cold, rain and hunger, and wet cloth and showes. It was short walk, but I know i gonna come there again.

Це дуже круте місце, популярний напрямок внутрішнього туризму, для поїздок вихідного дня. Соромно це визнати, але я відвідала його тільки недавно, у 2021 році. Незважаючи на не, що весь день ішов дощ, ми були голодні і змерзлі, і довго гуляти не могли, мені тут дуже сподобалось.

Admission is very cheap, it seems 30 UAH (about $1.11). You better buy a homemade cake from an old man at the entrance, because there is nothing else here. Or bring a snack and a thermos. By the way, the cake was so yummy that we immediately returned for another one.

Вхідний квиток дуже дешевий, здається 30 гривень. На вході краще купити у дідуся пиріжок, бо більше тут нічого немає. Або взяти із собою перекус та термос. До речі, пиріжок настільки смачний, що ми одразу ж повернулись за добавкою.

And I don't recomment to take their map. I say you can take it, of course, but ... It looked as if it had been made by an average student, and the task was something like this: you need to put this area on this sheet of paper. And when the work was almost ready, he was asked to add various objects to the picture. So do not try to navigate the terrain. Mobile communication here is also not very good, but present. That's why we navigated with Google.

А от карту можна не брати. Вона виглядала так, ніби її робив учень з середньою успішністю, і завдання звучало десь так: треба помістити оцю місцевість на оцьому аркуші. А коли робота була майже готова, його попросили ще додати на малюнок різні об'єкти. Тому не намагайтесь по ній зорієнтуватись на місцевості. Мобільний зв'язок тут теж не дуже, але є. Тому ми орієнтувались за допомогою Google.

In the center is the man-made Great Pond, which is considered the compositional axis of the park. You wont miss.

У центрі знаходиться рукотворний Великий став, який вважається композиційною віссю парку. Його ви точно не пропустите.

So, "Trostianets' was created during 1834-1864 by the efforts and funds of a prominent Ukrainian patron and cultural figure - Ivan Skoropadsky, grandfather of the last Ukrainian hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky.

Отже, "Тростянець" був створений у 1834-1864 роках зусиллями і коштом українського мецената та культурного діяча – Івана Михайловича Скоропадського, діда останнього українського гетьмана Павла Скоропадського.

Now it now covers an area of 204.7 hectares. So you better come here without time restrictions, with sandwiches and tea, walk, wander, feed swans and just have a great time. And in order not to kill the mood, start looking for a way back in advance, before you really want to get out.

Зараз він займає територію 204,7 га. Тож сюди краще приходити без часових обмежень, з бутербродами і чаєм, гуляти, блукати, годувати лебедів, і просто отримувати задоволення. А щоб його не зіпсувати, дорогу назад треба починати шукати до того, як реально захочеться на вихід.

The roots of this tree are so thick. It sank into the water, resembling a liana. Of course, I could be wrong, because I have never seen lianas in nature.

Коріння цього дерева таке густе. Воно опустилося у воду, нагадуючи ліану. Звичайно, я можу помилятись, бо я ніколи не бачила ліан у природі.

There are two smaller ponds on both sides of the Great Lake. But it's time to go deeper into the park. It is said that about 400 different plants grow here. Let's see what we can found with help of Goodle and fancy map.

З обох сторін від Великого Озера є ще два ставки, менші за розмірами. Але час заглибитись далі у парк. Кажуть, тут росте біля 400 різних рослин, в тому числі й екзотичних.

Before creation of the park, there was an ordinary plain here. All hills are created artificially.

Колись тут була звичайна рівнина. Усі пагорби створені штучно.

Looks at these trees! Or, it can be a very old bush. It's an amazing feeling when you are in the center of it.

I again got to the Big Pond's shore. It's time to return. There are dry sneakers in the car, and I saw a toilet near the exit...
